Title: SRM 2 bit for kitbashing Primitive Wasps
Post by: Liam's Ghost on 18 August 2017, 11:45:23
Anybody have thoughts about what bits to use to add an SRM 2 to a primitive wasp?

Lore wise, these would represent a one handed version of the more modern wasp, derived from refits of primitive wasps, early production models, and third party copies of those production models.

Reality wise, it's a way for me to bulk up my Wasp corps while we wait for the lawsuit to resolve. Once they're available again, I intend to get a bunch more "proper" Wasps to attain at least a fifty/fifty split.

Iron Wind Metals' scrapyard doesn't have a lot of pictures for me to work from.

Perhaps the SRM bit from a Blue Flame? As a bonus, I believe there's a variant with no missiles, so kitbashing a Flame into that nets you three missile pods for your Wasps. :)

Maybe contact ironwind and see if you can get the SRM 2 from the nuseen Wasp that was pulled.

The top bit from a Pariah works pretty well.

You might consider using  the SRM2 launcher from the new classic Shadow Hawk Mini.

The BLF-40 is indeed SRM-2-free

how about the Fireball Weapons Sprue? from the scrapyard.
it should have a SRM2 in a pod, and a laser?

Have you thought of just making your own out of brass tubing? For a $3-$4 initial expense you would probably have enough to outfit a battalion or more, or if that isn't your plan, it comes in handy for a lot of other projects.

At present I'm leaning towards using fireball parts. Thanks all for input.

I've actually got a fair bit of both brass and aluminium tubing. But it's a bit too wide for this project. I'm thinking of using it to mod a Primitive Rifleman into a modern version.
