Go ahead, keep crushing my wildly inaccurate dreams. I can take it! I'm going to go sit in this corner over here and daydream about tiny warhammers stomping around under the christmas tree. Of course, it will probably turn out about like that year where all I wanted for Christmas was the real K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider...

sadlerbw was saying the New Classics were holding up/delaying the current Release Schedule.  The IWM Schedule is done MONTHS in advance.  I was pointing out what I was told by Mike Noe at GC, about there having to be Official Art before IWM produces the minis.  While IO Beta debuted at GC (along with the Prototype Warhammers), the AS QS rules are more recent.  And frankly, "Teaser Art" isn't the same thing as "Finished Art", as far as the CGL Instagram/Tumbler previews are concerned.

Again, I don't think that the Reimaged Classics have ANYTHING to do with any Schedule Delays.

And yeah, the pics I've got of the Prototype WHMs make them appear to be black, but the front of the feet and the gun barrels seem white.   ???  I'm talking ALL the gun barrels, from the PPCs to the medium and small lasers in the torsos.  To me, the PPC barrels almost look to be separate pieces even.  Additionally, the piece along the front of both the SRM and the searchlight seem white, rather than black.  If the plastic was a solid color (black), how did it turn out that way?   ???

I think I missed the end of the great debate on those. Did we ever discover if they are plastics for the box set or will they be metal?

While I don't know if they'll be in any new Box Set, according to Loren Coleman (at the "What's Up With CGL?" Seminar at GC), the Reimagined Classics WILL be available in both plastic AND Metal.   O0
To me, Repros are 100% Wrong, and there's NO  room for me to give ground on this subject. I'm not just an Immovable Object on this, I'm THE Immovable Object. 3D Prints are just 3D Repros.

Something to bear in Mind. Defending the BT IP is Frowned upon here.

2014? :)

...That abominable reboot is not spoken of in my house! At least they left Airwolf alone.

Anyway, I've only been getting back into minis and table-top for a couple months now, so I'm not sure how normal it is, but IWM certainly seems like they fell behind more than just a little at the end of summer, and that timing combined with the news about the unseen just set the conspiracy-theory part of my brain on fire. Sorry if I gave anyone false hope! It would still be really cool to see a surprise Warhammer for Christmas, but I won't hold my breath. I actually really like the current Griffin and Battlemaster minis as proxies for the originals, and I can live with most of the others, but for whatever reason the warhammer minis available just don't 'do it' for me. More than any of the others, the warhammer is the one I was most hoping to see, and the prototypes (or whatever they were) I saw at the CGL booth at GenCon got me all excited.
