The
Guillotine is several things. However, is it a
Warhammer replacement? No, not really. Or maybe I've been using the
Warhammer wrong.
The
Guillotine was one of the Star League 'Mechs first shown to us in
Technical Readout: 2750 and then slightly improved upon in
Technical Readout: 3050 thereafter. Following the mess that led to the Unseen, it was slated to fill the spot in the traditional lineup that had been filled by the
Warhammer, leading to it appearing in the reprint of
Technical Readout: 3025. The
Guillotine doesn't have a 'Mech of the Week article, so good luck? (Greatclub suggests it plays like a
Grasshopper, so that's a good place to start.)
Technical Readout: 3060 gave us a Clan version, the
Guillotine IIC, which looks much deadlier. I don't have much else to say about it without getting into 'Mech of the Week territory, so go read
its article.
The
Guillotine has had two or three sculpts so far. According to Camo Specs Online, there are three:
I can't tell a difference between the two metal sculpts, based on the pictures I've looked at. If you have a handy way of telling them apart, would you please let us know?
The
Guillotine IIC has only had
one sculpt (20-268).
If you have any of these implements of death painted, please post pictures. We'd love to see them!
Thanks for reading, everyone! And especially if you post pictures.
