PDF, Page 81, Anti-Penetrative Ablation Armor Game Rules:

"ABA Armor applies an additional –2 roll modifier to the
critical hit check for all attacks made by weapons with armor-piercing
abilities, including armor-piercing autocannon ammo, armor-piercing
mortars
, tandem-charge missiles, and tasers of all kinds."

Error: Armor piercing mortars do not have an Armor piercing critical hit effect.

Correction: Delete Armor piercing mortar reference.

pp. 221, 223

Right margins of these pages list chapters from the old 2016 Interstellar Operations book, not the Interstellar Operations: Alternate Eras.

Interstellar Operations, AE: 2022 Edition

EXPANDED PROTOMECH CONSTRUCTION RULES, page 94:

This lists the rules for constructing Advanced ProtoMechs such as Quads, Gliders, and Ultraheavies.  However, the blank record sheets for these designs were not included in this edition.  These rules were originally found in The Wars of Reaving: Supplemental, and pages 89 and 90 have the blank record sheets.  These two sheets need to be copy-and-pasted into the back of Interstellar Operations, as players need them to use the advanced construction rules.

p. 16

Late Succession Wars Sub-Era (2901-3049)
Issue: missing Aurigan Coalition/Directorate/Restoration
Correction: Add relevant dates

p. 45
Minefield Ordinance (Active, Command Detonated, Standard, Vibrabomb)
Issue: ATOW 3rd p. 278 lists completely different Tech Level and Availability for all four mine types. This is especially pronounced with Active Mines moving from a 3058 invention to Early Spaceflight. Checking TO:AUE pp. 176-179 reveals even more contradictory information.
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

p. 47
Vibro-Mace, Tech Level E
Issue: ATOW 3rd p. 264 lists this as Tech Level D
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

p. 48
Issue: Pole Arm listed twice. I believe "Staff (Nunchaku/Pole Arm)" is the correct entry as Availability lines up with Pole Arm & Nunchaku ATOW (3rd) entries, p. 261
Correction: Change Staff (Basic/Pole Arm) to Staff (Basic)

p. 49
Laser Pistol (Sunbeam Nova), Tech Level D
Issue: ATOW 3rd p. 267 lists this as Tech Level E
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

p. 49
Pistol (Hold-Out), Tech Level D
Issue: ATOW 3rd p. 265 lists this as Tech Level B
Correction: Change Tech Level to B as this is a Pre-Spaceflight weapon

P. 49
Pistol (Spitball Gas Weapon), Availability XXCC
Issue: ATOW 3rd p. 269 lists this as EDC
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product. Given the more detailed dates in IO:AE I'm inclined to believe XXCC is correct

p. 49
Revolver, Tech Level B & Revolver (Magnum), Tech Level C
Issue: ATOW 3rd p. 265 lists this as Tech Level C
Correction: Change both to Tech Level to B in both products as this is a Pre-Spaceflight weapon. Also a formatting error in ATOW so I'll submit this one on that thread as well.

p. 49
Tranq Gun, Tech Level A
Issue: ATOW 3rd p. 269 lists this as Tech Level C
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

p. 49
Laser Rifle (Federated-Barrett M61A), Tech Level D
Issue: ATOW 3rd p. 267 lists this as Tech Level E
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

p. 50
Needler Rifle (M&G Flechette), Availability CCCB
Issue: ATOW 3rd p. 268 lists this as CBC
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

P. 51
AA Weapon (Mk. 1 Light AA), Availability EFDD & AA Weapon (Mk. 2 Man-Portable AA), Availability EFDD
Issue: ATOW 3rd p. 274 lists these as EFD and FXD respectively.
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product. Based on the extinction dates an X is appropriate during the Succession Wars. Perhaps EXDD and FXDD respectively?

p. 51
Flamer (Heavy), Availability BBBB
Issue: ATOW 3rd p. 275 lists this as ABB
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

p. 51
Mortar (Heavy) and Mortar (Light), Availability CCCC
Issue: ATOW 3rd p. 273 lists these as AAA
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

p. 51
Particle Cannon (Semi-Portable), Tech E, Availability DEDC
Issue: ATOW 3rd p. 275 lists this as Tech D, Availability CFD
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

p. 51
Particle Cannon (Support), Tech E, Availability CDCD
Issue: ATOW 3rd p. 275 lists this as Tech D, Availability CFC
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

p. 51
Recoilless Rifle (Heavy), (Medium), (Light), Availability AAAA
Issue: ATOW 3rd p. 274 lists these as BBA
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

p. 51
Rocket Launcher (V-LAW), Availability AAAA
Issue: ATOW 3rd p. 274 lists this as ABB
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

p. 51
SRM Launcher (Standard, Two Shot), (Heavy, One-Shot), (Light, One-Shot), Availability CCDC
Issue: ATOW 3rd p. 274 lists these as BDD, CDD, and CCC respectively.
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

p. 51

p. 51
Support Laser (ER, Clan), Availability XEDC

Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

p. 52

Issue: ATOW 3rd p. 275 lists this as DFD
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

p. 52
Support Pulse Laser, Availability DEDC
Issue: ATOW 3rd p. 275 lists this as DFD
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

p. 52
Support Pulse Laser (Heavy), Availability EFED
Issue: ATOW 3rd p. 275 lists this as DFE
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

Interstellar Operations, AE: 2022 Edition

ADDITIONAL ALTERNATE ERA WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT table, page 213:

The ammo costs for the Improved ATM 3/6/9/12 are all listed per shot, instead of per ton.  The values of 3,750/7,500/10,715/15,000 should all be replaced with 75,000.  That is the cost of iATM ammo per ton.

Page 32, Ultra AC/20 [IS]

"Prototype ~3057 (FW), Production 3060 (FW/LC)"
Issue: I can't find anything substantiating FWL research into the Ultra AC/20, but TRO 3060 does tell us how and when LC developed one. The Blitzkrieg (p. 94) says an intact Clan Ultra AC/20 was recovered following the 3058 Battle of Coventry, and allowed reverse engineering. This was aided by "recent technological exchanges with the Free Worlds League," in the form of the Ultra AC/2 & AC/10 they put into production in 3058 following GUERRERO (FM:FWL pp. 138-139, 141; TRO 3060 p. 30) and is likely the source of the erroneous attribution to FWL. The Blitzkrieg entry goes on to say it was first mounted on the Demolisher II. The Demolisher II has a MUL Date Introduced of 3059. FM:LA also reinforces this timeline putting the Ultra AC/20 debut at 3060 (p. 146).

Correction: Change Prototype to 3059 (LC), allowing at least months to transport the ClanTech from Coventry to Hesperus and unlock its secrets. Change Production to 3060 (LC). Possibly update Demolisher II in MUL for a 3060 Date Introduced.

The inaugural IO:AE errata has been posted.  Due to the time between preparation of the new book and arrival of this errata, not all entries reported above were collected.  However, they will checked again for any future printings.

EDIT: Quick 3.01 fix uploaded to catch a couple of entries above that were in fact included.

p. 186, Prototype ER Large Laser:

Change the value used when computing the unit's heat efficiency from 13 to 15 points.

Rationale:

The current value of 13 is derived from an inconsistent formula used for similar prototype weapons. For example:

Prototype Medium Pulse Laser: In TW play, this weapon generates 4+1d6 heat; The heat used during BV calculations is 7 (4 + an average of 3)
Prototype Large Pulse Laser: In TW play, this weapon generates 10+1d6; The heat used during BV calculations is 13 (10 + an average of 3)
Prototype ER Large Laser (currently worded): In TW play, this weapon generates 12+1d6; The heat used during BV calculations is 13 (12 + an average of 1(?))

IO:AE pp. 30-31, Armor (Conventional Infantry)

Clothing, Fatigues/Civilian/Non-Armored
Issue: IO:AE shows Tech A, ATOW p. 299 shows Fatigues, Jump Suit, and Work Boots as Tech B
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

Engineering Suit
Issue: IO:AE shows DDDC, ATOW p. 296 DED
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

Environment Suit, Light
Issue: IO:AE shows BBBB, ATOW p. 296 BCB
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

Envirnment Suit, Hostile
Issue: IO:AE shows CCCC, ATOW p. 296 shows "Envirnment Suit (Heavy)" as CEC
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

MechWarrior Combat Suit
Issue: IO:AE shows DFED, ATOW p. 294 BFC
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

MechWarrior Cooling Vest (Only)
Issue: IO:AE shows CCCC, ATOW p. 294 BCB
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

Spacesuit, Combat
Issue: IO:AE shows CDED, ATOW p. 295 shows "Combat Space Suit" as DDD
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

Armor Kit, All.
Issue: Differing Tech Levels and Availability between IO:AE p. 31/TO:AUE p. 130 and ATOW pp. 291-294. Some obvious variation exists since ATOW goes more granular with Boots and Gloves but even topline items like Helmet and Jacket/Suit have mismatches.
Correction: Resolve the discrepancies in whichever product

Armor Kit (Marian Hegemony)
Issue: Prototype faction of CC seems unlikely
Correction: Replace with MH

Armor Kit (SLDF)
Issue: Listed reference 130, TO:AUE is incorrect
Correction: Replace with 174, ATOWC. Possibly add to TO:AUE p. 130 table

Sneak Suit (DEST Infiltration Suit)
Issue: IO:AE shows XEEE, ATOW p. 297 FEE. Given availability in later part of Star League Era, FEEE is likely more accurate.
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

Sneak Suit (Three Systems)
Issue: IO:AE shows DEEE, ATOW p. 296 shows "Sneak Suit, IR/ECM/Camo" as DFE
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product.

Missing Items
Armor Kits (Capellan <3045, Taurian Concordat <3047). Given ATOW's 3067 reference point suggest adding RP stats to them in ATOWC.
Combat Armor Accessories from ATOW p. 290, particularly Standard Combat Helmet, Advanced Combat Helmet, Heavy Combat Gloves (Tech E appears to make these notable), Shields, Gripper Boots/Gloves, Microhook Boot/Gloves, Grapple Rod.
Vintage Combat Helmet from ATOWC p. 174

Standard Neurohelmet, p. 34
Issue: IO:AE shows CCCC, ATOW p. 294 BCB
Correction: Resolve the discrepancy in whichever product

Second corrected printing, print

p. 104, LAM critical table

PROBLEM: I believe that Battletech Mode column for Hip, Lower Leg, and Foot entries point to a wrong footnote.
SOLUTION: Change single asterisks (*) in Hip, Lower Leg, and Foot rows of the table to double asterisks (**).

pp. 210-218, Additional Alternate Era Weapons and Equipment table

PROBLEM: Headers of Type and Space columns have "§", and "§§" symbols that are not explained in the table. The same symbols appear in the same context in Heavy Weapons and Equipment Combat/Construction Data tables on pp. 216-223 TO:AUE, where their meaning is explained on p. 222 TO:AUE.
SOLUTION: Add § and §§ footnotes on p. 218 with text copied from p. 222 TO:AUE (plus any new acronyms in "Type §" column introduced in IS:AE if there are any).

Interstellar Operations: Alternate Eras, Second Corrected Printing PDF

Page 29

Standard (or Heavy Industrial) Armor: Technology Base/Rating: IS/D

Problem: This technology base does not match other 'standard' technologies in the table (for examples: Jump Jets[Mech] All/D pg 29, support vehicle armor [BAR 10] All/D pg 30, Battlemech Cockpit All/D pg 33, Heat Sinks All/C pg 36, [Engine] Standard Fusion All/D pg 38) having Standard Armor be IS base instead of All base means all clan mechs with standard armor are mixed-tech mechs

Solution: split Heavy Industrial Armor and Standard Armor into separate entries on the table, with Heavy Industrial armor as IS/D base/rating and Standard armor as All/D base/rating

3rd Printing
Page 38, Universal Technology Advancement Table

Laser insulators are only given a prototype date of "2575 (TH)" and a LosTech extinction date of 2820. However, quite a few published Inner Sphere designs use them, and it seems unlikely they remain experimental.

This post states that it should have been recovered no later than 3075: https://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php/topic,82121.msg1950750.html#msg1950750. The Word of Blake deployed a Thunderbird variant with them as early as 3073, so perhaps before that?

In addition to that change, I believe it would make sense for them to reach production status at some point before the Federated Suns deploys them in the Pandion Combat WiGE described in TRO:3150. Perhaps around the same time as the Radical Heat Sink System, as an offshoot of that research?

No change needed. Per TO:AU page 127 this is just the latest attempt at using handheld weapons. The SL had tried them before.

Second corrected printing page 69, Enhanced Imaging Game Rules

Reads: "All to-hit modifiers imposed on an EI-equipped unit making weapon attacks through woods, jungle, or smoke hexes are reduced by 1 point (to a minimum modifier of +1) per hex."

Should be: "All to-hit modifiers imposed on an EI-equipped unit making weapon attacks through and into woods, jungle, or smoke hexes are reduced by 1 point (to a minimum modifier of +1) per hex."

Reason: Unless this was meant as a nerf, the "and into" wording is missing. This brings it closer to the original rules of EI in 1st Somerset Strikers. I do not believe "through" alone also implies "and into" because similar wording like the optional targeting functionality of Active Probes (BMM fourth corrected printing page 110), specifies "through and into."

(Also, maybe this is just me, but I think the wording of the minimum modifier is a little confusing. I think it should be changed to something like  "...reduced by 1 point per hex, to a minimum total modifier of +1.")

The bit of history on Tripod 'Mechs refers to a mech called the Three-Man Drilling Machine, while the previous paragraph refers to the (presumably) same design as the Three-Man Digging Machine.

Error: For Protomech Tonnage rows 3, 4 and 5, Arms column shows wrong maximum armor value (4).
Correction: Replace with corrected value (2).

This error appears to have been inherited from the earlier unified release of Interstellar Operations (which in turn inherited the error from The Wars Of Reaving, which in turn inherited this error from early pre-3rd print TechManual).
