Art RetCon of 3025 survivors
« on: 15 December 2017, 14:52:00 »
'm going to lay this on the table:

I want to know from TPTB what the thinking is behind the new imagery for the 3025 survivors.

Is this an art retcon?

What I mean is; Is this the way a Catapult/Awesome now looks? and all future products will use this art?

Is this a statement that a particular variant looks like this?

What does this mean for the older imagery?

What does this mean for related products using the older imagery? IE/ AS lance packs and the potential for future releases in that vein? Is that an experiment whose time has now past?

Commentary; I had hoped that eventually the one-piece plastics would expand to cover the entire 3025/3050 range as far as possible and would eventually be available for individual purchase online.

Thanks for your time.
Epitaph on an Army of Mercenaries

These, in the day when heaven was falling,      Their shoulders held the sky suspended;
The hour when earth's foundations fled,         They stood, and earth's foundations stay;
Followed their mercenary calling,               What God abandoned, these defended,
And took their wages, and are dead.             And saved the sum of things for pay.

I answered your question when you asked it elsewhere.

This is not a retcon. There are 4 different sculpts of the classic Atlas (3 available at Iron Wind Metals, 1 "Fatlas" Plastech), that are pretty darn different, but none of them are retcons.

Different artists, different sculptors.

This has no bearing on old art. This has no bearing on old miniatures.

And just to be clear:
Is this an art retcon?
No.

What I mean is; Is this the way a Catapult/Awesome now looks? and all future products will use this art?
It looks like this *and* every other piece of art and/or miniature sculpt that has been produced in the past.

Is this a statement that a particular variant looks like this?
No.

What does this mean for the older imagery?
It means nothing new or different as far as the older imagery.

Thanks.
