Should Executioners be challenging multiple meds/heavies?

IE- Challenge a Nova & Lobo rather than a Gargoyle?

...but then you have its Assault-class BV, and in smaller fights, it's harder to mask that monster, in duels you're most likely facing another Assault

That's a fault of the BV2 calc accounting for both MASC and jump jets at the same time, I believe. It's nuts because you can't run and jump at the same time  ::)

Yeah, hopefully BV 3 will fix that, whenever it happens.

just as a comparison, here are all Exe config BVs vs the BV minus the JJs (JJs have less BV than MASC, so I went with the higher BV total...for those configs that have a supercharger, I left that BV in since supercharger + MASC is something that can be used together, unlike running and jumping)

Prime 2749 (original BV) - 2488 (modified BV)
A  3112 - 2868
B  2940 - 2660
C  2740 - 2481
D  2698 - 2464
E  2988 - 2741
F  3606 - 3276
G  3825 - 3499
H  3059 - 2749
I  3339 - 2972
J  2891 - 2607
K  3125 - 2880
L  3132 - 2810
P  3052 - 2743
T  2558 - 2340
TC 3363 - 3034

only 3 configs break the 3k BV mark

Thanks for that list, that so much more bearable for each variant.

Yeah, I'd be far more interested in fielding most of those at those prices.

Clearly the answer is Modular Armor, dropping the speed to 3/5[6]  8)

Kansas City players, or people who are just passing through the area, come join us at the Geekery just off Shawnee Mission Parkway for BattleTech!  Current days are Tuesdays in the afternoon and evening.  I can't make every single week, but odds are pretty good that somebody will be there.

Yes, it becomes 3/5[6]/3 and coincidentally dodges most of the extra cost for its mobility options.
