Light, Medium and Heavy Rifles in MegaMek

I just used Megamek Lab to create a mech with a heavy rifle. But when I brought it over to Megamek, it did not show up on the weapon list. Did I do something wrong?

I've made vees in MML that worked fine in MM but I don't recall making a mech with one. That was a few versions ago. Which version are you using? Did you double check the design in MML and make sure it saved correctly?

Yep, that was it. For some reason the Rifles are not available before 3080.

Huh?? For what rules level? Rifle Cannons are more primitive that primitive mechs. Sounds like there could be a bug in there somewhere.

Yep, that was it. For some reason the Rifles are not available before 3080.

Per IO pg 38 - Rifles go extinct in 2825, reappear 3079

Should still show up though. Might be extinct but everything else will show up at the proper level. Why else could you equip a mech in 3025 with SL equipment  :P Granted acquiring said equipment is A LOT harder.

It will show if you enable "Show Extinct Tech" in the configuration options.
