Overview
The original Black Watch was created by Cosara as a Mech to symbolise the unity of the Inner Sphere and give the reborn Royal Black Watch Regiment of the Star League Defence Force a flagship assault Mech.  For all intensive purposes the design was a massive success however as technology moved on and the Black Watch began to be surpassed by more powerful designs.
In 3071 Corsara debuted the OmniMech version for the Northwind Highlander regiments, the First Black Watch Regiment and eventually the rest of the SLDF.

Capabilities
In 3071 Corsara debuted the OmniMech version for the Northwind Highlander regiments, the First Black Watch Regiment and eventually the rest of the SLDF.  This Mech uses the same standard structure, engine, armour, built in CASE (now in both torsos) and targeting/communication software significantly cutting down the repair time and familiarisation period for new warriors to the OmniMech.  The Black Watch OmniMech is also able to devote forty-five and-a-half tons, over half, of its body weight to pod space for weapons and equipment.
The Primary Configuration boasts a Light Gauss Rifle like the original Mech mounted in the left arm with a ton of ammo supporting.  In the opposite arm lies a Rotary class-5 autocannon supported by two tons of ammo stored in the torso.  Alongside the Rotary is a Medium Pulse Laser and an Extended-Range Small Laser.  In the torso the Mech has a forty-tube Medium Range Missile Launcher with a brand-new Apollo FCS in the left side.  Finally the Mech has three Jump Jets like the original design.
The Alpha Configuration has a totally reworked weapons configuration.  In the left arm are a pair of Heavy PPCs developed in the Draconis Combine.  While in the right are there is a quad mount of Light AC/2s supplied by a healthy amount of four tons of ammunition.  In the left torso there are four Extended-Range medium lasers and a centre torso mounted Guardian ECM suite rounds out the configuration.
The Beta Configuration turns the Mech into a support design.  Four LRM-15s each with its own Artemis Fire Control System are split one per arm and two in the torsos. These weapons are fed by eight tons of ammunition in both side torso ammo bins.  In the left arm there is some Targeting Accusation Gear (TAG) and an Extended-Range Small Laser in the right arm there is an Extended-Range Medium Laser.  Finally three Jump Jets add decent mobility allowing the MechWarrior to pick a high ground of their choice not having to worry about terrain.
The Charlie Configuration is a close quarters design with little thought to range.  First there is an Ultra AC/20 which dominates the right arm and part of the right torso.  This weapon is fed by five tons of ammunition allowing the AC to keep up constant fire.  The left side has a retractable blade and a pair of Extended-Range Flamers the idea being to heat up an opponent on approach then cut down an enemy in close.  In the left torso there are three Snub-nosed Particle cannons giving any enemy a hard time quickly.  Finally a Extended-Range Small Laser is mounted in the centre torso.  If this unit is separated from its lance mates out in the open then it is a good as dead however in an urban or close quarters battle this Mech can easily dominate quickly.
The Delta Configuration is more of a sniper three Extended-Range Large Lasers fill the left arm, while two Heavy PPCs are mounted in the right.  A Medium Pulse Laser, five additional Double Heat Sinks and a Light Tag fill to torso slots.  While each leg features an Anti-Personnel Pod and an Anti-Battle Armour Pod.
The final standard configuration is the Echo.  Again this appears to be an urban and close combat configuration with a LB-class 20 Autocannon dominating the left arm and torso section tons of ammo in two separate ammo bins.  On the right arm six pulse lasers, 2 large, 2 medium and 2 small are mounted together.  In the centre torso there is a single Streak SRM-2 with a ton of ammunition.   Finally a Slave C3 and three Jump Jets round out this configuration.  If anything it appears to be an anti-infantry and Battle Armour configuration which given the current trends of the House Militaries and the Clans already formidable Battle Armour formations may be a prudent choice.

Deployment
Cosara Weaponries have sent these Mechs to the Northwind Highlander regiments and the SLDF became very popular with the Royal Black Watch Regiment.

That is quite impressive!  So what happens to the Clans in your AU?  If they join/get absorbed by the 2nd SL, I will have to draw up a IIC of this.
