OMG! More Minis from NeonKnight! WoB 5th Division!

That's right, just when you thought it was safe to wade back into the Mini's forums, he returns with not 1, not 2, but 29 (yes TWENTY NINE!) Word Of Blake 5th Division Mechs, and 6 vehicles and 9 infantry/battle armor.

Preeety. Good to see more Militia on display. Glad I'm not the only one building Blake' grand armies to save the Inner Sphere from itself. Some of what you are sharing remind me of what's on my TO&E.

There were Robotech models there? Really? All I saw was Ral Partha pewter and maybe some lead. And some fine ones too, but, aren't WoBM cockpits supposed to be red? The green does look though.

Yes, Pictures #2 and #6 show the Robotech Minis. Great for Home games....not so good for Offical CGL events, so they will never be seen there.

No, absolutely not. The majority of canon art shows transparent cockpit panels - see cover of Rolling Thunder, etc. However that's a little tricky to do in paint on metal ;) So it's totally up to personal skill, choice, & artistic spirit.

I personally tend to make my cockpits a bit more like darkly mirrored lenses on some sunglasses, with the polarized effect to protect the pilot from glare ;)

Gloss or semi-gloss black works well for that, requiring minimal effort. Some people do magnificent jewelling, or (like me) fake-jewelling ;0

Yeah, I do pseudo jeweling...dark color, lighter and then lighter still in the lower right/left portion, then a dot of white in upper opposite.

I mean "black base, white curve or lines, then hit them with coloured ink". That's fake jewelling to me :)

My technique is black base, Silver, then Clear Acrylic, like Red, Green or Blue, from Tamiya.

The Robotech RPG minis do blend in nicely. Very cool 5th Division!
