Oh, I know. Leaving that aside, really, how long do we expect people to keep building the exact same IS medium lasers? If I'm reading my intro dates correctly, they have been made with the same stats for about 850 years by the time 3150 rolls around. Do we really need to make it 950 years? Hasn't that been enough time for pretty much everyone to figure out how to make them just a wee bit better? Besides, I wasn't suggesting changing the stats on Clan weapons. I was suggesting abandoning all the Clan and IS weapons and simply having a new standard that everyone has moved to in 3250! That's WAAAAAY more drastic than what you were thinking!

iirc the Third League Turning Points: Free Taiw St. Ives AFD product was hinting at what a flattened 3250 tech selection might look like and may or may not line up in some ways with what you're suggesting.

They did think how to make the Medium Laser better . . . its how we got IS/Clan ER Med Laser, IS/Clan Med Pulse Laser, X-Pulse Med Laser, VSP Med Laser, Heavy Medium Laser, RE Med Laser and Med Chem Lasers.

But just like I can take a .30-30 Winchester to the modern battlefield, it may not be the most effective thing (especially using vintage rounds) but it can still sort of due the job.

Fantastic news, both regarding "new" personell, ilClan coming during the year, the art in that announcement post, and...

..."Evans and Arrastia will also focus on bringing all-new introductory BattleTech products to store shelves which are guaranteed to excite both longtime fans and newcomers alike."

I'm excited to hear about the staffing changes. I'm looking forward to see what the new energy in these positions brings to the game. The releases the last few years have been great already. There's a lot of good momentum and there are great people in the driver's seat. Keep it up!

Congratulations on the promotions to all concerned.

Love the look of the upcoming products and think the time jump (if it happens) will be good for the line done correctly, which I'd expect it to be.
