Arrow IV Fighter?
« on: 02 September 2021, 22:08:18 »
So I'm working on putting together a force for the 4th Federated suns lancers, a fast moving unit.  In the 3145 field manual it says:

"Given its lighter throw weight, the Fourth relies heavily on
their aerospace screen to provide its heavy support. The flyers of the
Black Pegasus Wing have thus become highly adept at aerial artillery
attacks using wing-mounted Arrow IV missiles"

I cannot for the life of me figure out what fighter they are referencing, is it some custom design?  A search of Sarna.net for Black Pegasus doesn't get anything, searching the master unit list for the alpha strike artillery keyword on aerospace only turned up the Planetlifter transport.

There’s an arrow iv missile that takes up bomb slots on aerospace fighters.  Any aero can use them.

Basically this, though it also takes at least a 25 ton fighter to carry 1 arrow so the lightest fighters can use them, but you can launch ordinance without needing to fly over the table and risk your light fighters to FLAK

Plus Black Pegasus Wing is the name of the formation, not the fighters being used.
