Warship stats
« on: 04 December 2020, 08:47:45 »
Looking at warships the way they are built has few guidelines.  Want a 100,000 ton frigate with 100 SI, ok.  A Dreadnought with 20 SI, ok.  Cargo space, pick any percentage you want, 30 percent, 5 percent, whatever.  Want 30 docks for dropships or none, do it.

Should warships have a minimum and maximum cargo capacity?

Should there be a maximum number of dropship docks based on warship size?

SI came up looking at the Fox, 100 SI at 240,000 tons and the Sylvester, 20 SI at 280,000 tons.  Not critical but should smaller warships have a cap on SI?

Thoughts?

I believe there is a maximum number of docking collars per mass at least on jumpships there is.

I don't think that a small ship should have a restriction on SI however. You could build it very tough to serve as some kind of orbital drop mothership capable of withstanding withering Aerospace defense (or like a ramming vessel ala the Hammerhead corvette from Rogue one).
