Like the title says, what BA have the best "Marine Points" ratings for Boarding Operations using the rules for combat inside a large craft?

Do they list MP value for units anywhere or is it all just by hand calculations?

Against mechs, infantry have two options: Run screaming from Godzilla, or giggle under your breath as the arrogant fools blunder into your trap. - Weirdo

I believe it is all just hand calculations. Marines were going to be my next addition to my Second Star League Fleet (link below) entry. If you wait a little while I will have a table handy.

That said I believe the Salamander might be in the top tier due to its paired battle claws, pretty decent armor, and adequate weapons. There is also a Snow Raven Elemental suit that is modified for the purpose but I haven't done the math yet to see which is better

The trick is to be Clan, big, clawed, and have a burst fire weapon.

From something I produced earlier...
Warg 6.25
Rogue Bear Upgrade 6.25
Elemental Space 6.25
Golems 6
Ironholds 6
Rogue Bear 6
Gnome LRM and Upgrade 5.25
Corona 5.25
Constable LMG 5.25
Salamanders are 5, about mid strength.

Infiltrator Marine 5.25
Ravager 5
Nephritis 5
Kanazuchi Cyclops 5
Haulers U15 and II 5
Grenadier HK and LRR 5
Kanazuchi Drill 4.25
Then you are into the 4s, 3s and 2s. Note the general lack of small suits.

What's the page reference for Marine Point calculation?  Sounds like a challenge for the Design Forum...  ^-^

The whole reason I asked the question was because I saw someone posting pictures of Robotech Armor which reminded me of like 5? years ago or so, when I designed a Marine Suit & called in the Cyclone Marine Armor as homage to the Robotech suit.  (Note mine had nothing to do w/ motorcycles & such, just used the name)
I stuck everything I could on that suit useful for Marine Points.

Which then made me wonder what the best canon suit is these days.

1. Thanks for the list.
2. My "Cyclone" suit from years ago was actually IS Tech & Light BA,  but not PA,  for fitting through doorways & such.
I don't recall its MP rating but it sported a MG & lots of gadgets & I want to say was 4+ or 5+ points?

Actually,  just did a Forum search & found it.   2011, I stand corrected, that is older than I thought, lol.

Probably older than that, and salvaged from the previous iteration of the board...  ^-^

With us actually getting blue water ships, I wonder how well some of these suits would carry over for boarding actions on that type of vessel.  I know I used the Combat Ops early boarding resolutions for close quarters combat- things like infantry packed bunkers that would have several different levels.

I feel like those can be used for any large interior area.

Warship, Jumpship, Dropship
Submarine
Bunker
Factory
Castle Brian
Etc etc.

The exact same rules are explicitly for use within all of those environments.

I was thinking Longinus-Magnetic.  The mag clamps will let them cling to exteriors of ships while cutting their way inside, they're decently armored, and two burst fire weapons will be murder on unarmored defenders & crew.  But then again I have zero practical experience with anything aerospace related so I'm probably missing something.
