I'd love see someone author stories based in this setting with these ships.

I’m playing with notes for a BT-based naval race game in the vein of Warship Race Redux, starting in 2300 or so but using a non-canon construction system, and Liam’s Ghost’s work(s) like this are always the first place I look for designs to populate the early space-lanes of the I.S.
(To that end, it would be very nice to have a hard introduction-date for every ship in its fluff and/or on its RS, but nice-to-have is not essential or a demand, and I can muddle through without them.)

I'm curious, are there any Primitives that also use the Docking Collar concept?

A Hybrid type design that blends old Jump Core w/ newer DS technologies?

They won't necessary be considered to be a Primitive. They'd likely be a WarShip, since that's next step in evolution of big Jumpships with Big Planetary Engines.  Only ship I think does fit BOTh and isn't considered to be a Warship is the late entry in canon, is the Conestoga Transport.  She a Primitive JumpShip, but does have collars. I think.  I don't have my books.  The League Class Destroyer (Blook I) does have both Docking Collars & Internal Dropshuttle Bays.

Thanks Wrangler.

I have this idea for a Primitive Core ship that uses Docking Collars.

Seems like it would be a blend of the Conestoga & League (Block-1) but smaller than either.

Actually maybe a blend of the Liberty & Conestoga would be more accurate.

Sorry, no docking collars on the Conestoga.

Ahh. thanks. I thought so.  For some reason I kept thinking it was modified later.
I guess the League I is the only one that has duel docks.

I guess the League I is the only one that has duel docks.

The upgrade from the League Block I to II included adding a second docking collar at the cost of the DropShuttle bays.
