Design Challenge: Concordat Block II Frigate

So, this time I'm looking for an extensive refit and upgrade for the dependable WarShip of the Concordat.

During the Truce of Tukayyid, as part of new First Lord Michael Falke-Burgher's plan to mend ties between the Sphere and the Periphery to create a united front for the Inner Sphere, the Star League passed information to Edward Calderon about a lost fleet of Reunification Era Taurian WarShips that were stashed for a later date, but discovered by the SLDF decades later.

The core of this Naval Cache was eight of the infamous Concordat class Heavy Frigate along with a few assorted hulls of other WarShips. While all ships would eventually be returned to service, the Concordats would once again for the core of the Tuarian fleet with the eight ships preforming most of the naval duties of the Concordat Navy.

These ships put in great service over the years despite losses in the Jihad, as of 3120, the ships were still in combat service. However, the ships having been largely unchanged since the 2500s, Protector Daniel Calderon decided that it was time for an upgrade.

All of the remaining Concordat class ships were rotated out of duty for a complete rebuild designed to bring the ships up to modern standard. In particular, the Concordat wanted the ships to be defended against modern threats that they estimate to be the most pressing at the moment. Those being Capital Missiles and Pocket WarShips as the most likely threats currently. However, they want the anti-WarShip capacity improved just in case they needed to fend off strategic threats. This program proved successful and after Grey Monday, the Concordat considered an entire production run on the new Block II design though this got mired in the government machine and only 2 ships were authorized.

Rules for this challenge.
1. Tonnage and basic roles remain the same.
2. Increase defense against Capital Missiles and fighter/DropShip scale targets.
3. Maintain anti-shipping capability or improve it.

If it is allowed to reduce cargo capacity then I think that it would be not half bad.

The most dramatical change is making its both sides thicker than it was, and making it able to engage the enemy with sides rather than fronts as the old Concordat had.

Six NAC/20s on each broadsides ensures that it can harm the similar sized ships at ease, with long range. Barracudas are meant to deal with dropships and ASFs, and some Capital Lasers are the 'resource efficient' ways to threaten the enemy dropships on patrol. AMS bays will cover every sides of the vessel(forward and aft left/right covers its broadsides as well) and able to shut down most attempts to nuke the ship, or the other vessel. Screen Launchers are there for either shoot down the enemy ASFs or make the screens to easily close the distance against long ranged shots.

Scanner suit would be needed for such a patrol ship. And Naval C3 is attached to ensures that it hits the target on the long range provided it have the escort dropship in the network near of the target.

Cargo is greatly reduced but it has double amount of fuel tank.

Finally A half of the marines are replaced by BA.
