Wakazashi enterprises worked with Clan Nova Cat to develop and update the beloved (read infamous) Shilone.
Thoughts were put into about increasing its threat profile and also allowing for more effective engagements and disengagement.
In the end, the engineers at Wakazashi and Clan Nova Cat Scientists put forward an updated Shilone, that after testing proved to be even more formidible than its forebearer.
Using a mix of Clan and Inner Sphere components, the fighter has proven to be effective and efficient, swapping out the standard laser array for pulse lasers (all of inner sphere design), and a streak lrm 20 with 2 tons of ammo. The rear SRM 4 launcher was replaced with a Clan spec ER Small laser.
Safe thrust was increased by a third, although pilots need to be a little more careful with their flight time as fuel reserves were kept the same.
Finally an inner sphere XL engine is used, along with Clan grade Ferro-aluminium.
