I think it will be good for those coming from other games or players who want to have a set Alpha Strike force off those and/or future force lists.

Hopefully these packs will be available in stores, as opposed to online exclusives.

Most likely just online for right now. Could change in the future, we will see.

Will Ral Partha Europe also be doing this? In recent times they seem to have stopped releasing new Battletech stuff and only seem to cut form the range :(

Shame as they are a nice reliable vendor/manufacturer for those of us on this side of the Atlantic.

+1 on that comment.

I'd say BF scale miniatures would be good way to allow newer players afford buying miniature in Battletech.  Yes their smaller, but they're more affordable.  AS=BF anyways.

The ProtoMech minis ganged up on them and stole their lunch money.

Yes but the BattleForce minis didn't actually have anything to do with BattleForce.
You can't fit 4 BF minis in the space of 1 standard scale.

They would.

In all seriousness though, I would like to see battleforce minis!

The battleforce minis are really interesting. If I had seen them before I started making my "regular" BT figures, I'd probalby buy them instead.

Nice metal affordable minis, scale allowing interesting modelling and scenery possibilities...Interesting for sure.

Since most of the IWM are off scale with each other, using BF minis wouldn't be that big of a deal ....
See what I did there?

Wait, Alpha Strike minis are an entirely different scale compared to Battleforce scale? It isn't simply rebranding?

There are no dedicated Alpha Strike minis. By all accounts, Alpha Strike uses TW-scale minis, and the upcoming packs will likely stick to those.

As a personal guess I'm thinking its more like the RAT packages they did before, possibly just normal scaled minis put together in a packaged deal.
I could be wrong though, but that would be the more logical solution.

That's exactly what I'm expecting.
