Lance Packs, Force Buliding, and You!!!

It appears that most of the KS backers are receiving their Wave 2 shipments, and if anyone else is like me when I received my Wave 1 stuff; I started force building  :D :D :D

What have you come up with? Are you sticking with the Lances/Stars as is to build your force? Or are you mixing it up to make something that screams, "This is my lance. There are many like it, but this one is mine...."  >:D

I divided them in 2 full companies plus 3 2-lance forces, plus a single lance force for the rest. All are 3025 configurations unless stated otherwise.

ARAN GUARD (mercs) White blue [332]. Almost same squeme as the lothian guard.
The weird configuration of heavy and light mechs here is because it is actually a unit formed form a couple smaller commands.

As you can see this is a painting project overall, trying to get most parts of the IS some love. FWL and Canopus is the big outlier here, with no presence.

I have significantly broken them up from their packs. Some because it’s what the faction would have. Some because I like the faction and want them to have mechs I want to play. Some because I got too many salvage mechs and didn’t need all of them in my clan forces.

I have about 20-24 assigned for each IS house, the same number for 2 clans and then ~50 for CGB. All single paint scheme unit. I went with across time units for the most part.

I also had some IWM stuff on sales/finds so I had to find a home for that. Mostly in my capellan unit, because a lot of the iconic capellan mechs didn’t come till the civil war era.

I’ll post my spread sheet later.

Same here, took a look at my Wave 2 breakdown, and the only reason I have a single pack going to one unit entirely is that I bought 3 Direct Fire lances for that very reason.  So while the other two are getting split between the LCAF, DCMS, CCAF and FWLM, the third one is all going into my AFFS battalion.  Those Marauder II's sure are pretty.  Same for the Crusaders. 

Since I'm not a Comstar man, it is taking me a while to figure out what to do with the Command Level II, especially the King Crab.  Maybe into the CCAF or DCMS as salvage from the Republic.  Still have some question marks on my Breakdown sheet.

Merc list is its own list, it basically includes their version of "IS General". I would utilize a house list in addition to merc list if one's merc list is strongly associated with the house.
And related, Kell Hounds and Wolf's Dragoons lists are their own, fully contained things.

The faction things include IS or Clan General.

That’s if you just click FWL (for example) from the faction set up.
In the Dark Age it shows 573 mechs. If you just do an advanced search for FWL mechs in the DA it gives a separate number, but adding in IS general gives you back the 573 number.

So clicking not searching includes both lists
