BATTLEFIELD INTELLIGENCE BENEFITS
P.154
"Benefits are established before the scenario begins."

P.155
"The BI Initiative Bonus provides a number of Initiative Bonuses to units on the field. These bonuses should be noted on the card of the unit it is assigned to, either by marking INIT on the special abilities of the card or placing a token on the card to represent the initiative bonus. If the unit is destroyed or is within an enemy ECM field during the Initiative Phase, that initiative bonus cannot be used that turn."

"The player gets another +1 Initiative Bonus if the force has at least 1 unit with the Recon (RCN) special ability per 4 units in the force to place on one of the units with the RCN special ability.

In addition, the player gets another +1 Initiative Bonus if the force has at least 1 unit with Mobile Headquarters (MHQ#) special ability with a value of 1 or higher per 4 units in the force, to be placed on one of the units with MHQ1 or higher.

"Multiple bonuses can be stacked on a single unit, but if the unit is destroyed or in an ECM field, all the BI Initiative Bonuses on that unit are lost."

My questions:
1. What if a force of 5-8 units has 2 units with RCN and 2 units with MHQ#. The second and third +1 INIT bonus tokens are placed on one of the units. If the RCN or MHQ# unit that does NOT have the INIT token is destroyed or in an ECM field is the corresponding INIT bonus affected, or does the unit with the token have to be the one destroyed/in ECM to affect the INIT bonus?

2. If the RCN or MHQ# ability is granted from an ability present at the start of the game (such as a Command Lance benefit) and that ability is later negated from combat attrition (such as the lance dropping below the minimum of 3 units) does that affect the INIT tokens granted at the start of the game as a BI benefit, or do the BI tokens and benefits remain as per P.154 "Benefits are established before the scenario begins" so long as the unit with the tokens remains in the fight and not in an ECM field, even if it is the last unit standing?

1. The “math” is only done in setup.  During gameplay, it’s just what happens to the unit with the tokens.  There’s no recalculating.
2. Same, no more math.  If the unit with the token is lost/in ecm is all that matters.

Perfect, thanks! :)
