Determining LAM PVs
« on: 03 May 2021, 22:33:32 »
How are LAM PVs determined? More specifically;
1. Do you begin tallying up PV as though it is a Mech, or an ASF?
2. At what point, and to what extent does the other unit type's calculations come into play? i.e. is Thrust added to the LAM's PV as it is with ASFs?
3. How does WiGE mode factor in?

EDIT: https://bg.battletech.com/forums/alpha-strike/answered-errata-lam-pv-calculation/msg1543004/#msg1543004 Found an old thread on the matter. Anything changed since then?

The only difference is that TMM is not directly tied to Move any longer.
A LAM still uses the highest TMM available.  A LAM with a base +2 TMM listed on the unit card, would have a +3 TMM in AirMech mode (p178, first full sentence).  So it would use 3 TMM for the PV calculations.
