Heat (p. 52): "...twice its current heat level (in inches) will be subtracted from the unit's ground movement rating."

Sprinting (p. 38): "To find a unit's Sprint speed, multiply its current ground Move by 1.5 and round up."

Question:  Is heat applied to the base move rating before calculating the Sprint speed?

Example: For a unit with a base speed of 10" and 2 points of heat, do we subtract 4" due to heat first, bringing the effective speed to 6", and then calculate Sprint speed which in this case would result in a 9" Sprint?  The alternative argument was that Sprint was determined before reductions (e.g. 15") and then the -4" from heat was applied then resulting in an 11" Sprint.

Heat is first, then sprinting.

Heat effects are applied at the End Phase.  So when you go to decide movement mode (in the Movement Phase) and choose Sprint, your MV was already reduced for Heat.
