2 problems from one search.  Apologies if this is not in the correct place to post but looking for answers all the same.

While looking to convert some units for a campaign game in the Alpha Strike Companion into having the "MASH#" special ability (p.127) noticed that "Paramedic Equipment" is not listed, raising a concern that I might not be able to convert units correctly for field operations and trauma centers.

After browsing the MUL for units with the "MASH" special, I took note of the Kestrel VTOL [MedVac] entry as having the "MASH6" and IT3.5... yet in it's TRO entry  it does not appear to have sufficient tonnage to equip both.

Kestrel VTOL (TRO3058_Upgrade p. 66-67) available weapons and equipment: 5 tons; 1.5 Weapons (2x MG, half ton ammo), 3.5 ton Infantry Cargo Bay
MASH Equipment is detailed in TechManual p.228
Paramedic Equipment.  TechManual p.233
[Industrial Equipment TechManual Section p.344 for both items and their construction specifics, or as follows:
- MASH Equipment 3.5 tons, 1 equipment slot, +1 ton for 0 additional slots
- Paramedic Equipment 0.25 tons, 1 equipment slot (installs individually)

For the "MASH6" special, I have calculated that a unit would require 8.5 tons of available tonnage to equip it:  3.5 tons for initial theatre and 1 bed; +1 ton for each additional bed afterwards, or +5 tons

Missing the official record sheet, I have speculated that while there IS sufficient tonnage to mount a MASH theatre and 6 additional beds by converting the 3.5 ton Infantry Compartment over to the theatre.  However, the Kestrel does currently violate a different construction rules... which is right in the entry on TM p.228:
"Unit Restrictions: BattleMechs, IndustrialMechs, ProtoMechs, fighters and Combat/Support Vehicles with a VTOL motive system may not mount MASH equipment."

Looking for some help in determining where the error is and what/how the MASH special may be related to Paramedic Equipment (if that is the case)

Errata upcoming.
SO had paramedic equipment giving MASH1 per 1 ton, AFTER the unit already has a "core MASH unit".  Need to add this to ASC.
Which doesn't help the Kestrel (MedEvac).  Will also be adding errata that without a core MASH unit, 3 tons of paramedic equipment counts as MASH1 (+1 for each full additional 3 tons) and will adjust the Kestrel to match.

Thanks for the reply.

Follow up question: when converting MASH# to Infantry Transport (2 to 1, ASCE p.87), if a unit that has a dedicated Infantry Transport bay already and has a MASH value, will these combine for gameplay/deployment purposes?  ...or should they remain separate/distinct?

example: IT3 + IT1 (MASH2) = IT4

Yes, there's no such thing as separate IT bays, they are always combined.
