Help with source of the Templar TLR1-OBLO
« on: 22 July 2021, 05:30:41 »
Wondering if anyone has the background for this Omni variant. Short form:

- The TLR1-OBLO is only available to ComStar "Blessed Order" in the Dark Age
- But the Templar had fallen out of production in the Jihad, with the fall of Kallon's factory at Talon/Wernke.
- The Templar III is specifically mentioned (TRO:3145, FS, p46) as being produced at a new plant (on New Valencia) because existing Templar production lines were vaporised.

So is there any idea for the source of the Blessed Order's TLR1-OBLOs? I don't mind at all - quite happy to see the nu-robes using it. Just piqued my curiosity as to how it ended up on their list.

Thanks in advance!

It's not plural, there's a single TLR1-OBLO in the Blessed Order (that we know of). The Blessed Order is so small every 'mech in it is practically unique, so the MUL doesn't bother listing them as such.
Spotlight On: Unending Faith p2-3 lists information general to Unending Faith and where they came from (effectively all over the place), but there's nothing specific about where Grandi and her Templar came from.
