"Mageallon Mk II JumpShip"?
« on: 11 July 2016, 17:35:48 »
On p. 32 of MechWarrior: Technology of Destruction, there is a JumpShip image captioned as "Mageallon Mk II JumpShip".
The picture seems to show a Magellan-class vessel, with its jump sail emblazoned with the Spirit Cats crest.

My questions:

1. Is "Mageallon" a misspelling for "Magellan"?

2. Is there a Magellan Mk. II class of JumpShips? (The MUL only lists the standard Magellan, and the Persephone which is a heavily modified unique Magellan.)

Thanks Ray.
Would you agree with Sarna's description then that the "Magellan Mk II" is a mere variant of the Magellan, with as of yet unspecified changes (as opposed to a different class of JumpShip)?

That would be speculation—a good possibility to be sure, but all we have is the one butchered reference.
