"Cave Bear" Stealth Assault Battlearmor

Using Detachable Weapon Packs on the Hrafna Stealth VTOL BA design I recently made inspired me to make this assault BA.  If you want more reach, you can always swap the Medium Pulse Laser with an ER Medium Laser since they weigh the same.

Okay, after thinking it over, I decided that even though the armor had to be reduced to 10 points in order to compensate, Improved Stealth is probably the better option for this design, since "stealth" is basically its "armor" in the first place and Basic Stealth doesn't provide any stealth capabilities at the short range.

Unless the weapons have drastically changed Mass since HMBA for TM rules, you are way off in your sizes/tonnages.

MPL is 800

He's making use of detachable weapon packs that cut non-missile weapon weight by 25% at the cost of speed. They're a handy way to squeeze more equipment on slow BA.

As Pa Weasley said, Detachable Weapon Packs (DWPs) reduces any non-missile weapons' weight by 25%, rounded up to the nearest 5 tons.  It also reduces the amount of critical spaces needed for the applicable weapon to just 1, regardless if it normally requires 2 or 3 spaces if not placed in a DWP.  The downside is that Medium Suits and below suffer a -3 movement penalty, while Heavy to Assault suffer -2.  Any Movement Point that equals to 0 gets rounded up to 1MP, while any negative Movement Points are not allowed, which is why Medium and below suits must have a nominal minimum Movement Point of 3, while Heavy and above must have a nominal minimum Movement Point of 2.

They're not for every suit but do have their uses. The butter zone seems to be the heavy slot with the best balance between weight cost for the increasing the movement speed versus possible weight savings. DWPs let you do things like reproduce the Ironhold (Fire), all be it with two fewer points of armor, on a heavy frame. Or slap two BA LB-X AC on a heavy suit with advanced armor and a SRM OS for laughs.

Sorry for the thread jack WeaponX.  ::) I have to say, anytime you can mount a Clan medium laser and an AP GR on a single suit it's a good day.
