Fenrir II!

Well, I thought about what one could do if the Fenrir's turret size was increased by just a single slot, while reducing its movement speed to that of a Sloth... The result is... neat. It gives just so many more options... and Standard Stealth armor.  8)

Some nice concepts there; The strength of the Fenrir is certainly the huge potential payload.
Though it's speed is really the only thing protecting it from being but an expensive target, so reducing that, then a lot of the builds you posted, if I read that right, leave a lot of weight will make it even more fragile, given it might need an extra point to slip into cover.

The loss in speed is more than mitigated by the Standard Stealth armor ;)

And yes some configurations waste a lot of weight, but so did the original (even more so actually, as it was limited even more due to the few free slots the designer put on the configurable turret).  The most limiting aspect on a pure Omni BA chassis like the Fenrir is not the weight, it's the number of slots that are available.
I could of course have given it even more slots than it already has now, but that would have excluded the Medium VSPL as a valid choice.
And to be honest, a Medium VSPL on a Standard Stealth, 3 MP assault quad is murder. We're talking about an actual 4 ton weapon. :D

The Medium VSPL and ER Medium Laser configs are the primary configs. The rest is just bonus or to fill specialized roles on the battlefield (Infantry killer etc).

Yeah, I was in the process of posting a VSPL design for about 4 Months now; Thanks for reminding me of that.  :P
I really like people posting designs that are have flavour over pure efficiency, so it's certainly refreshing to see.

Well, IMO a Fenrir without its configurable turret is no Fenrir at all. So going for maximum efficiency (meaning several variants instead of configurations) was not an option. ;)

Well, on the one hand it was the only useful "weapon" (only weapons can be put on a turret) that still fitted on the turret, on the other hand it's always fun to spot and bring in the heavy rain, while you still have a potent weapon yourself. ;)
It also comes in handy that both weapons have a more or less similar range profile.
