7 points is the right amount of stealth armor, so it can tank clan medium lasers.

You're better off just using an adaptable mount, i don't remember if that incurs extra weight, but maybe you can trade in the battle claw for a manipulator if need be.  Otherwise, its basically just an elemental with stealth armor, which isn't such a bad idea.
