Roach Breaching Armor
« on: 17 February 2021, 13:27:34 »
This Battle Armor is intended for attacks against fortified structures, hence the "Breaching Armor" name. In other words, i tried to optimize this for boarding action rules though only for non-space situations due to lack of space operations adaptation.
No idea if anyone actually uses those rules, i know i don't, beyond knowing about them...

A heavy suit with 2 ground MP, maximum armor. Has MWM in each arm though each with only one slot capacity, 200 kg to be split between them. Though the block below has Vibro Claws, they should be of heavy-variety (60kg per claw) but the version of MML (latest stable release i believe) i used can't handle that claw type.
Other equipment includes improved sensors, a searchlight, and each arm has a cutting torch.
Weapons i picked for this example are a standard Machine Gun and a Heavy Grenade Launcher.

Marine Point Value per trooper:
Spheroid Battle Armor trooper 1
Heavy suit +2
Burst-fire weapon +1
Paired heavy vibro claws +2.5
Two cutting torches +0.5

Total per trooper 4.75
Total per squad 4.75*4=19

Other than boarding actions, i figure this is moderately useful for city fighting though its limited warload limits its usefulness.

I'd have the HGL to the body, sort of Mortar like... up over the shoulder / lower back ejection-type.

That way the MG can rattle off if needed, while cutting the door down.

As is, I think you can only use one or the other per arm.

Now if you place an AP port in the chest for a small pop-up gun, we might be talking Boba Fett here.

AP weapons are limited to choice of one per turn, otherwise you can fire all weapons regardless of their location except during swarming.
