Clan Scientists were combing through records on terra when they came across a rather unusual specimen...the Mongoose 66GX. No mention was found in clan databases, and after further digging into it, the reason lay in the fact it was basically a mini Exterminator.
Clan Wolf scientists being what they are, devised several upgrades for the Mongoose 66GX, by incorporating the new interface cockpit and removing the gyro, allowed them to add 2 additional heat sinks, combined with the lighter Clan Spec SRM 6 (with a ton of reloads protected by CASE II), interestingly however, clan scientists forgoed changing the lasers to more up to date pulse or er models, the main concern was the heat generation of the weapons while having Null-Sig and Chameleon Light Polarisation Shield active.
Initial trials of the MON-66CW proved to be wildly successful, in fact they managed to even omni-fy it some what by making the torso mounted weapon podable, meaning one could take out the light tag and add in a small laser or something else that fits in to that slot with 0.5 tonnage max.
ilKhan Ward was impressed with the results, however, he urged only the most sensitive of units should have access to the design due to its inherent dishonour.
