Grasshopper GHR-DX packhntr Special

A bit faster than the original 4/6 it uses an XL 350 Engine and Reflective Armour to withstand that nasty Drac fire. Three LPPCs come with cappacitors on CASE II protected torsos.

That looks like a nasty bit of business.
I'm rarely right... Except when I am.  ---  Idle question.  What is the BV2 of dread?
Apollo's Law- if it needs Clan tech to make it useable, It doesn't deserve those resources in the first place.
Sure it isn't the most practical 'mech ever designed, but it's a hundred ton axe-murderer. If loving that is wrong I don't wanna be right.

Shouldn't be too bad. Be sure to work out your salvo pattern first.  Something like fire 3 charges and run for +4 heat, then fire 2 regulars, charge 2, and run for a net -2.  Or fire 1, and charge 3. Keep that up until you have a couple nice holes in the other guy then switch to un-charged rapid fire to crit seek.
Jumping will complicate that but jump 5 is the same heat as either a charge or a lppc so that should be straight forward enough.

On second look, I realize that I missed the reflective armor.  I'm not generally a fan but if I'm being honest, something moving 5/8/5 with an array of ppcs should NOT be getting into melee.

It's less toasty than quite a few 3025 'mechs.  As an upgrade, it would pass muster.

I know a PPC capacitor for regulars, push their damage to 15.  what do they push light pccs damage to?
It's not who you kill, but how they die!
You can't shoot what you can't see.
You can not dodge it if you don't know it's coming.

Jumping will complicate that but jump 5 is the same heat as either a charge or a lppc so that should be straight forward enough.
It took me a bit but I finally saw the pattern I was looking for.
Fire 2 lpp+cap, charge 1, fire 1 lpcc and run for +4
Fire 1 lpp+cap, charge 2, fire 1 lppc and run for +3
Fire 2 lpp+cap, charge 1 + run for +2
Fire 1 lpp+cap, charge 2, fire 1 lppc and run for +1

Your heat will eventually zero-out, then go back to the start. of the cycle. Until you get to the late game crit seeking, one of those regular lppcs never gets used. Deleting one of the non-cap lppcs frees up enough weight for a TC....

If I may offer up a revised version... Dropped on of my seven LPPCs, added two caps and  ER Large laser.  To do it, I had to swap out to a XLFE and drop a DHS.

Why the ER Large instead of another LPPC? ???

I ended up with extra tonnage and lack of crits

I see three crits left... Dropping the Large to a LPPC gives you two tons to fill three crits...
