My Shot at Henry Ngo's Shaky Sue
« on: 12 June 2022, 08:33:30 »
Subject to Cannonshop's approval, of course...  ^-^

My thought is that the electronics package (to include the Null-Sig/Chameleon) is actually nano-machine enhancements from the Brat Pack.  I used all 7 tons from the LRM-10 and ammo for the Command Console/Guardian/Comms Gear/Remote Sensor Dispenser, and threw DHS in to max the armor (-2 SHS, +2 tons armor).  TSM was just a logical add.

I would strongly consider dropping a ton of armor to add on a ton of communications equipment.  With the 1 ton that's considered integrated with the cockpit, you would then have equivalent to 4 tons, enough to search for and link up with satellites.  Other than that, I think it looks good.

I was thinking the Command Console might come with another "free" ton of Communications Equipment to cover that...  ^-^

I can't find anything in the rules to support that, which makes me hesitant.  I mean, it makes sense, but... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well, the OG TacOps (page 194) had this to say:
Quote
Cockpit Command Console: A BattleMech mounting a cockpit command console (see p. 300) may determine if a Satellite is available
or attempt to establish a Satellite uplink with a friendly or neutral Satellite, but can do so and still move and re normally in the subsequent turn, provided the second warrior does not need to take any actions to do so. For the turn following the turn in which the player announced that the BattleMech will determine if a Satellite is available, or establish a connection to a friendly or neutral Satellite, the +2 Initiative for the cockpit command console is lost. A cockpit command console cannot be used to hack into a hostile Satellite.

Cannonshop did say it wasn't a normal Command Console, so... maybe? ???

honestly, since both the extra ton of comm gear and the command console give basically the same benefit, use the extra comm gear, and just fluff it as being electronics pulled from a command console.

Cannnonshop implied it had C3-like capabilities, so I went with the full weight of the Command Console.
