It occurred to me that there's no OmniMech with reinforced internal structure. Thought it would be an intriguing option.
Since durability is the focus, we go with 85-tonner, standard fusion engine, max armor. Due to reinforced structure eating weight, ferro-fibrous is used to free mass, and speed is kept low. Would've liked compact gyro or heavy-duty gyro but finding mass for either is difficult, and i didn't want to compromise the 'Mechs staying power with light or XL engine.
34 tons of podspace is reasonable for a low-end assault 'Mech though not earth-shattering.
The primary configuration is a long-range fighter akin to the Tenshi Prime. A Gauss rifle plus several light PPCs.
For close combat, the alternative A has jump jets, RAC/5 and several medium X-pulse lasers, all slaved to a targeting computer. Threw in a TAG unit because i ran out of ideas.
Everyone needs fire support and the B config delivers twin LRM-20s and an ERLL.
Finally, there's a flashbulb configuration, the C, with a Heavy PPC and a mix of ER and pulse lasers, plus some coolant pods.
The name was the first thing that occurred to me that would relate to commanding somehow, as i figure this makes reasonable command platform.
