Gencon 2021

The Catalyst Demo Team (& therefore Catalyst Game Labs) will be running events at the in-person Gencon 2021 (Battletech & Shadowrun).

We intend to run as many of our usual events as we can staff with our wonderful volunteer agents who are willing to attend this unique Gencon. Full event details will be released with the Gencon event guide.

However, we wanted to say we intend to run as many as our normal events as we can as we know attendees need to decide what to do with their badges from the previous cancelled year by May 16th. We have heard many of you wanted to know this information as part of your decision process. So, we will plan to see you at Gencon 2021.

To me, Repros are 100% Wrong, and there's NO  room for me to give ground on this subject. I'm not just an Immovable Object on this, I'm THE Immovable Object. 3D Prints are just 3D Repros.

Something to bear in Mind. Defending the BT IP is Frowned upon here.

The event list came out today and I'm pretty sure it's just Grinder and the boot camps. Did I miss some?

That is correct. It is bootcamp (learn to play), academy (learn to play alpha), & grinder. If we add more events it would be an alpha strike event next.

We will not be doing Masters & Minions due to no where near enough manpower.

Not having a main event is sad.  Guess I won't be doing any Battletech this gencon.  I like playing a tactical game and free-for-all grinder just doesn't fill that need.  :'(

I've been playing Masters & Minions since 2013, and it's about the ONLY game I play the entire 4 days.   :'(  I've played 1 or 2 others in addition, but I mainly wander the Exhibition Hall, and bother the Good Folks working the CGL and IWM booths.   ;D  I Probably hit BOTH Booths 5-6 times PER DAY, maybe more? 

I understand the Manpower Situation though.  :-\  I've heard the Canadian Border is still closed, and several of their Volunteers come from there, so those folks can't even BEGIN to make plans to attend until it's opened.

Looks like Bloodname didn't make the hurdle either, darnit  :-[ 

I may just get generic tickets this year and enjoy the flexibility in schedule it gives me, though I will still be firmly camped in the CGL area for the convention.

The Iron Winds booth is close to CGL this year. There is also a Wild Bill's booth inside the hall for those who have mugs.
