Now, now. We all know Kerensky isn't really dead but cryogeniccly preserved under the Hall of Khans.

To add a meta perspective: CGL have said that there are no immediate plans for, or intention to revisit, the Home Clans.

To me, it seems their story was wrapped up in the Wars of Reaving and they’ve been placed in something of a narrative stasis: Not entirely wiped out, but weakened to the point where they aren’t relevant to the story anymore. They can be reactivated in the future if need be, and will then have at least a century of recent history that is a blank slate. This allows them to be shaped into basically anything, and marks them a potential general purpose deus ex machina plot device stored away on the sidelines.
Currently, and for the forseeable future, the fiction is focused on the ilClan and the Inner Sphere, and has largely lost interest in the deep periphery affairs.

this doesn't suprise me TBH. the problem with the home clans is they where always a fairly large collection of factions that didn't interact even distanty, with the other factions. something had to give.

But oddly enough the closest neighbour to the Homeworld Clans (The Scorpion Empire) got a decent amount of work put into it. And we know the Scorpions made some visits to the IS (like that Solaris VII museum tour. So it's kind of strange they keep their hands off of the Homeworlds. Then again this leaves it open for imagination. As long as we don't get a "aliens devoured the Homeworld clans and are now attacking the IS"

Kinda like a comic book character that has a plot that was wrapped up and therefore disappears for awhile, except we're talking about an entire faction.

That or they'll be relegated to Wolverine status defending the rest of the BattleTech Universe from aliens

My uncle's cousin who works at Ray Arrista told me that this is the current status of the Homeworlds Clans as of 3150:

• Clan Star Adder: Decided they were tired of having to run everything, went into seclusion.
• Clan Cloud Cobra: Aerospace'd so hard that TPTB physically manifested in the Homeworlds to annihilate them for "distracting" from 'Mechs.
• Clan Coyote: Still being really depressed about the whole Society thing.
• Clan Stone Lion: Definitely isn't secretly harboring former Society members and hoarding tainted/dezgra technologies, what would make you say that?
• Clan Green Bird: Made up of some nice fellows from the very deep periphery. A bit feathery, and weird how they favor spears, but I'm sure there's nothing cursed about them.

Something I uses to joke about. The Deep Periphery in the Dark Age era was a neutral zone patrolled by the Homeworld Clans and the Inner Sphere Clans with both making sure the other side wasn't trying to sneak into or back to the others territory. All this is happening out of site of the Inner Sphere and its what the Inner Sphere Clans did with there warriors who were too ambitious.
