I've found that 'mechs with 3/4 of their weapons being non-energy translate to vehicles pretty well.

"Shadow Hawk" is actually a good name for a chopper. What's the bet that there is an Airwolf-style action show about that VTOL in-universe?

A lone Star League infiltration/assassination helicopter, carried by privately-owned civilian Dropship from one world to another, with hand-made cockpit-killer missiles assembled almost from raw materials using forgotten methods performed by rote?  Their local intelligence contact keeps the main intelligence group from confiscating the helicopter (and their Dropship), while requesting their aid with 'various problems'.  Result is that the intel agency gets access to the helicopter, while being able to honestly deny they possess military equipment.

Bravo!

To follow the trend, and quote myself somewhat from elsewhere (it's not as good a one-to-one translation as Sabelkatten's, but at least it improves upon the original - see if you can guess before the end!);

Light scouting and harassing unit.

21t VTOL
9/14 MP ICE
4.5t Standard Armour (18 Front, 2 Rotors, 13 all others)
2x LRM-5 with 2t ammo, in Chin Turret

450,500 C-Bill
BV2: 460

And a spare half ton for 1 of 3 different options, in decreasing order of likely usefulness on TableTop;

+0.5t armour, 8.5k C-B and 21 BV
Remote Sensor Dispenser, 51k C-B (?!) and ... 0 BV (?)
Recon Camera, 17k C-B and 0 BV (again)

With about as much armour on each facing as certain Mechs have in their entirety...
I call it the '(real) LCT-1M'.

Because otherwise I scream out loud.

If SAW did Fractional Accounting right, that thing could go 10/15 with even more armor.

Because I wanted to not only make a cheaper, non-BM version, but one that didn't die in one hit.

Good job on the translation, though, looks like only the increased speed is different.

Given the difference in internal structure I suppose it would be reasonable to move 8/12 with 2 tons of armor.

I didn't see the name at first & all I kept thinking was, if the weapons were more like a Griffin it would be better.

Which then of course leads to me seeing the name & going duhhhh, and realize how right I was that a "Griffin" weapons would be better.

Probably faster &/or more armor too.

You can but at that point your either PPC or LRM10, not both.
Maybe a single LRM5 w/ 1 ton of ammo since I recall having an "Airwolf" way back in the day that was PPC & several MGs that used a 160SFE same as the Locust.

PPC plus single LRM5 gives you 3.5 tons armor going 10/15. Better than that needs advanced tech.

"Shadow Hawk" is actually a good name for a chopper. What's the bet that there is an Airwolf-style action show about that VTOL in-universe?

A sidegrade and a speed boost:
Clantech VTOL w/ chin-turret'd ATM-3, 2x APGauss, 4x LMG, VTOL Jet Booster.
If you can somehow do mixed tech magic, give it vehicular Stealth Armor (pity that CLPS and/or NullSig aren't allowed on vehicles), so long as you can find room for the EMC suite. I'm not sure errata allows it (Stealth Armor, tmk, specifically says 'ECM Suite' but doesn't actually state 'Guardian ECM Only'), but if it does, use a Watchdog instead to really get the BS sensors that Airwolf had...
