Just playing around with the rather criminally underarmed HGR version. Switched LRMs to MMLs and added a LPPC to the turret. Still quite a brick.

I don't have that much space for the turret... a larger turret would only work with two front-mounted gauss rifles.

sure but the Heavy Gauss is the bull in the china shop here... unless you mount it almost at ground level.

I was thinking much more conventional. Take the old Sturmfeur turret and replace half the missile tubes with the combined gun mount. Then add a RWS-style AMS mount on top.

But where to place the HGR? also its already a complete overhaull - switching from ICE to Fusion or even Light Fusion of the WoB.
Sure tanks are my hobbyhorse but most variants often are lacking any kind of logic (there are exceptions like the Bulldog)  Also the Sturmfeuer adds 10tons of overall weight just to mount 2.5t more armor (compared to the vonLuckner)

That's the reason I started from the von Luckner to create my version of the Sturmfeuer in 3d. Sure its missing the LRMs, yet - but its a logical step.
Personally I rather keep the HGR and increase speed and defense capability and ignore the secondary weapons, but that is personal style

Maneuverability of a heavy weapons does in fact trump secondary weapons, at least in my opinion...

4/6 SFE track don't have a lot of weight left over after a HGR...

Not at 85 no, but as mentioned earlier.
Do the Sturmfeuer (or Fury) at 75tons. The LRM ICE variant looses only 2.5t of armor (not a big deal- 17bis still to much)
 but you get a lot more options including Vehicle Stealth and 4/6.
Not that the HGR is great for Stealth.

This got confused... Yes, the original Sturmfeur is arguably overweight. But that's mostly about using to much payload on armor, not about the weight itself.

SFE version loses 4 tons dropped to 75 tons, so the OP design goes to 11.5 tons armor:
