So, technically, a PPC/AC10 doesn't pop this thing with a side or rear hit. It's dirt cheap and with a small enough crew requirement to put an obscene number on the field regardless of your currency (BV/C-Bills/tonnage/whatever). Load them up with flak ammo as a swarm of defenders around an aerospace vulnerable zone and I can see a very surprised attacker.

I may well steal these for a dirtbag militia force in an upcoming game.

If SSW did Fractional Accounting right, you could get four more points of armor (one extra for the sides/rear/turret) for no extra cost (controls and armor cost the same).

Those are great! I love toying with those very low end vehicles. It's cool how much utility you can get out of 10 to 30 tons.
Evil thought: you could bring a company of the ICE Light Scorpion, a company of Infantry and two to three Mechs for a 6K BV game...

Same. If we're splashing out on fusion, the armour could be Heavy FF... but that blows past the BV of the original instead of a gentle bump:

I just realized I forgot to provide a C-Bill cost for acksed's excellent proposal, but SAW is giving me a suspiciously low cost for the switch to HFF... 

Also, the Fractional Accounting trick gets you 5 more points of armor with HFF (4 for the Front for 24 total (26 including the internals) and 1 Rear to make it an even 15).
