When New Earth was finally liberated from the Word of Blake, the chassis for an enormous vessel was recovered in a dilapidated shipyard. Designed to slowly sail in the coastal areas, the Black Prince was a floating gun battery. Fitted with no less than five Gauss Rifles in its single huge turret the Monitor would have been a direct fire nightmare to engage. It was actually theorized that if the Word had managed to get her to sea the invading forces might have just tossed a few WMDs at her to sink her rather than try to engage such a monster.

Fitted with five gauss rifles and two light PPCs in its single turret the Black Prince has two major other notables. The first is the absolutely ludicrous Twenty One Ton Targeting Computer tied into the turret. This enhanced the aim of those massive guns and would have made assaulting the ship a daunting prospect. The other notable issue is the ship's armor plating. The Word dedicated over a third of the ship's displacement to Hardened Armor Plate. This means to batter through the armored bow would take over forty AC-20 shells! Running on a scavenged XL fusion engine the ship would have effectively unlimited range as well, only limited by crew consumables and ammunition.
It was considered a blessing such a vessel was not launched as any force that had to take her out would likely have had to resort to nuclear weaponry, to the detriment of the surrounding area. Given that the Word had intended to station Black Prince in a city if possible, this would have resulted in even more damage, possibly even dooming the Republic's efforts to resettle the world after the Jihad.
