SLDF Goblin

Expanding on a thought from my Royal Goblin thread, a vanilla SLDF version would still have a fusion engine, but no Ferro-Fibrous or ER Large Laser.  Since a standard PPC and ER Large Laser cost the same, the savings is only the cost of the Ferro (about 450K):

The Succession Wars downgrade drops the Fusion Engine for an ICE, the PPC for a standard Large Laser, the SRM-6 and ammo completely, reduces the Infantry Compartment to 1 ton, and drops 3 tons of armor.  The reduced turret tonnage pays for the Power Amplifier.  If you use Fractional Accounting, it can hold on to 1 Paramedic (from the reduced Control tonnage).

And here's an experimental version that's almost anatomically correct for the 3026 art.  Oddly enough, even if you throw Ferro-Fibrous back on it, it's STILL cheaper than the Royal version because SRM-2s are CHEAP!  Looking back on it, I suppose I should have gone with paired Streak racks for the Royal, but that wouldn't have been needlessly expensive...

Even better: with just a bit less ammo (and Fractional Accounting, of course), it can fit an ER Large Laser, 4 x Streak SRM-2s, 2 full platoons (56 troopers) of Mauser Infantry, AND a single Paramedic (with the necessary gear)... For those not keeping track, that's 24 platoons of Mauser Infantry, a LANCE of Goblins (1 platoon equivalent), figure of platoon of transport vehicles for the techs, and a few platoons of techs and admin support for a REGIMENT of SLDF infantry...

Thanks to 2ndACR for the catch... a COMPANY of those Goblins carries 24 platoons of infantry... the support troops more than round out a regiment...

Still, that SLDF Goblin is one tough and capable tank. The armour's almost unheard-of for something below 50 tons; I approve. It just needs CASE and it'd be perfect.

With Fractional Accounting, it can certainly fit CASE.  Drop one of the existing Paramedic sets and use the quarter ton saved from Controls for it.
