Is that just a battletech thing? Do we all eventually design a cohesive theoretical military around a 3/5 Assault, 4/6 Heavy Trooper or Fire Support, 5/8 Cavalry, and 6/9 Heavy Scout (with a 10/15 Scout once the XLs hit)?

But I have, and I bet Im not the only one, on more than one occasion sat down and built a 'line of battlemechs' all from the same company/star nation, using the same powerplant and similar weapons, with the intent of creating a reasonable logistics train comprehensive military. Ive done it in 3025 with introtech, Ive done it in 3150 with tripods and maximal tech slosh, and every way in between.I need help, I think.
