The Shadowrun console ports were handled by an external company, not HBS. Maybe there's hope? Not sure how it would be possible given the control system, but since X-Com did it, maybe there's hope.
The engine/coding in Battletech is not very optimized however and I'm afraid even though the next gen consoles are great, Battletech is a poorly optimized game, so not sure how it would actually run on Xbox/PS.
Since BT is a turn-based game, I don't see any problem with playing it on an Xbox/PS. I admit, I know
JACK about Programming, but if you can play Diablo III on Xbox/PS (which is
NOT a turn-based game), which is significantly
MORE "Complicated" to play, as far as the controls go, then BT should be
NO problem at all. Right?
Again, I don't know anything about programming, so Yes, I'm
GUESSING.

They/Someone converted MW5 to Consoles, and it's also
MUCH more Complicated than BT. We "Might" lose access to Mods, though console versions of games like Fallout 4 and Skyrim have access to Mods. I haven't used any Nexus Mods, but I've played with some of the .JSON files on my own, so yeah, I'll miss being able to do that.

Seems like I read (Somewhere) that HBS was asked early on in the KS if it would be ported to consoles, and they didn't want to take the time to do it, because they didn't want to delay the game's release. But now? They'd be bringing in more money with it being accessible via consoles.

And while I'm only 1 person, I'm guessing other people like me that already own it on the PC would buy it for their "Console of Choice" also.
