The Broken One.

So, I got this idea a few years ago from rereading 3026 Battletech Technical Manual regarding myomers artificial-limbs and what if you could make an android out of them using Mechwarrior's technology. So, the Myomer-Men were thought of. They are full on androids with AI-brains.

Being from the old Star League, the Broken One doesn't know how old it is; it wanders an desert-canyon on the planet Algedi in Draconis Combine space; it's the year 3145 there or abouts. It doesn't know how long it's been in the canyon; it's looking for a Pyramid, that will revitalize it. "Has it been a day, a week, a month, a year, a century that I have been here?"

The Broken One is named after the Sega Saturn Doom Soundtrack song, The Broken Ones.

I'm working on a local canyon map right now. Hopefully I will finish it before ADHD kicks in.

One thought about Algedi: From the description I've read on Sarna, a Class A sub-giant star taking up a third of the sky, would, effectively, bring the temperature up to extreme levels; the planet would be as hot as Venus.  The star itself, would be about a billion years old; good news for the planet; would would still have a strong magnetic-field and a high spin-rate.  It would have had to be terraformed and perhaps that happened,  in the early 23rd century. Weyland-Yaunti are good at that.   Building better worlds. Being a billion years old means accretion is no longer occurring, so one way to reduce the star-light is to have a massive asteroid belt between the planet and the star.  The eternal-light in the description wouldn't be due to a large star in the sky.  The planet would rotate.  A double star or perhaps, a nearby nebula would solve that problem.  But Algedi and the Azami have a problem with light, heat and radiation.

One Ping Only
"For the Angel of Death spread his wings on the blast, And breathed in the face of the foe as he passed:And the eyes of the sleepers waxed deadly and chill, And their hearts but once heaved, and for ever grew still!"
