The two Clan Historical are pretty interesting.  Was there alot details on the fights against the Widowmakers?  Golden Digest and Klondike skipped most of the action that happened during the Trial of Absorption was concluded.

Details of the Widowmaker's final stand on Roche, too, dude!  The Khans were dead, it was down to a saKhan and a cluster or so of troops.  SaKhan Vordermark launched a nasty ambush on the attacking Wolves, who were beleaguered somewhat in their struggle to destroy the Widowmakers and things did not look good for them at all.  Then came Ethan Morreau of the Goliath Scorpions and a few stars and Khan Cyrus Elam. All of them totally unbidden, and at the urging of Loremaster Morreau who charged headlong into the fray with everyone else following.

The Widowmakers are no more today, and the Goliath Scorpions have always felt the Wolves were allies, even if the Wolves did not always see it that way.

In a nutshell. FM: Warden Clans, the Goliath Scorpion section has most all of this.   Always read every section, but not all in one sitting.  Retention is greatly aided by taking in only three or four Clans at one time  O0

Widowmaker will be fraykin' heeeuuuge!   :D  even if it's shortish.

I believe that there were some rumors that Natasha Kerensky had a drop of Widowmakers' blood in her veins.

I'm hoping for some info on the Widowmaker fleet. We need more than just a transport called Egg Sac.

Agreed also hoping this may be the product that will have the Riga destroyer stats in it. Would fit the time frame and it is the only SL ship that we have yet to see.

Wouldn't it be horrible if the Widowmakers went with an egg theme instead of (presumably) a spider theme for the Dropships?

The yolk would be on them, then.

It would be interesting to know if the names of the former Widowmaker WarShips given to Wolf's Dragoons for their mission to the Inner Sphere were the original names...

It's more interesting than optimal, and therefore better. O0 - Weirdo

Yep, we had better get back on topic before the mods crack down on us and we all end up with egg on our faces . . .

Omellete you get away with that one, but I hope the egg jokes are now ovum. They're scrambling my brain.

And I hope our new delivery of gaming materials will come soon.

Battletech transport rules take a very feline approach to moving troops in a combat zone: If they fits, they ships.

It is almost like there is a hidden artist war to develop the best cover art as it just keeps getting better and better.

'Twas a terrible time that, the Artists War.  The horrors of kaleidoscopicly rendered concepts, thrown together with reckless abandon, in order to flatten the awe of even the most jaded fan, tore the visual spectrum apart.

In the end, all that was left was a barren wasteland of stick figures and cackling madmen, producing mere finger paintings, all rendered in puce.

Unofficial LD for 2 seconds - It was a glorious moment!

Yup, and can you image the awesome that would be the Warrior Trilogy rendered in stick figure cartoons?

I’m sorry, my brain rearranged that into ‘the Warrior Trilogy rendered in Order of the Stick cartoons’.  I just spent twenty minutes rebooting from an awesome-induced system-crash.  [notworthy]

Riddle me this:

I'm standing in my LGS right now looking at a print copy of Wars of the Republic Era.

I ordered it via BattleShop a month and a half ago, since which time the order has been "processing." I was told, correctly I believe, that my order wouldn't ship until there was a street date.

There's been no street date announced that I've seen. And yet, here I am, looking at the thing.

I read on one thread or another that LGSs get product shipped before online orders are filled. Is that what's happening here?

Or am I losing my mind?

You're not losing your mind. You will get your book. You just need to be patient. Questions of "When?" never get answers, but rest assured that questions of "Will it?" will always end up with an answer of "Yes."

I understand. I wasn't trying to be impatient, just wanted to make sure that I hadn't missed something or there wasn't an issue with the order. I haven't used BattleShop often (in fact I might have only used it once, a while back) and wasn't sure there wasn't something unusual here. Thanks for the response.
