I'm a little sad they removed the TZ-1 designation from the Devil.

Once upon a time I designed a 'Mech whose stats were a near dead ringer for the Dragonfly M.

That was one fun little backstabber.  >:D

I like that M. I also like the T. The L is interesting and funky, although two tons of ammo feels like a lot for a Streak boat with only 15 tubes. And the J is moderately interesting until I notice it's only 1259 BV, at which point it becomes extremely interesting.

All together, yesterday was a good day for Dragonfly pilots.

I was hoping for a Battle History entry set on Kikuyu, which was settled by Tasmanians and has a local fauna Tasmanian Devil-analogue.  It's in the Falcon OZ, after all.

Funny, it reminded me of a ground based (but probably more accurate due to TC) version of Pack Hunter.

The Solitaire is a fairly different mech since it's built for close-range.

If it means anything, one of the featured RD MW: AOD Stars was built around a C3i network.

I think I translated that right - Rasalhague Dominion Mechwarrior: Age of Destruction?  Where were they featured, because I never got any Mechwarrior forces large enough to call a star.

Well, it would be cool if the plant had been rebuilt after the nuking in the Jihad.  That being said, I think typo is more likely.   :'(

I see the question has been answered by Adrian and its good news for the Suns.

I really want to like the Rifleman C 3, but it needs one (well, two, depending on your point of view) to be great.

At least there is the 7N and 7N2.

Changes (I thought I had typed that in, but guess not). UAC's are ok for anti-'Mech work (kind of), but for anti-air, there's a better choice.

Agreed!  The question now becomes how many lines are up and running in 3151 aside from the Rifleman.

You did. My bad ><. Anyrate, the Dominion set was built around the Rassies. The star in question appeared to consist of an Ursus, a Karhu, a Thunder Fox, a Solitaire and a Mongrel. I'm using Warrenborn to aid my memory on that ><

As for something Rec guide 8 related...The Baboon seems to be the perfect Mongol 'mech. I'm surprised the Falcons haven't flooded the Inner Sphere with them.

It was in the Domination expansion set. The star was the Rasalhague Battle Star which consisted of:
Erkki Jorgensson   Ursus
Ragna Olsen      Thunder Fox
Gregory Stiehl      Mongrel (the standard BattleMech, not the Grendel Omni)
Nuo Chien         Solitaire
Dusan Bekker      Karhu

Interestingly enough, this star can meet the requirements of the Medium Battle Star as long as the Ursus is an Ursus 2 or an Ursus II. The rest of the 'Mechs can be any configuration or variant and it will still meet the requirements.

May I suggest an Ursus PR.

Also, the ability to maintain a 20MP run with only a chance of failure for the MASC or Supercharger on a double 1

There is a Glacios Etere on the Snow Raven canon character list. Maybe that is where the character comes from? Etere isn't a canon Bloodname so this is what is going to happen in that situation. You lose your last name and become and a character without a bloodname. The character was also not given a mech preference.

The notable pilot for the Howler is Star Colonel Derek-Jaim Clees. On the Jade Falcon character list, there is a Derek Jaim Lee that is requesting to be given a Jade Falcon Bloodname.

You're right, I mixed things up.

The P is for Piranha
My original idea was P for pulse, but I like this idea too.

Also, the ability to maintain a 20MP run with only a chance of failure for the MASC or Supercharger on a double 1
With so little armor on a Fire Moth, speed is life. And on the P with such short range weapons you have to get up close & personal.

It's mentioned in the write-up, just a Rifleman with quad AC/5s and exactly one shot for each of them in the Succession Wars.  Doesn't fit without ripping out at least one more ton of something (including the ammo already).

To be perfectly honest I'm not sad that there's no record sheet for a 'Mech that exists as a joke and this is fine the way it is.

I think they probably pulled a medium laser, just to make it even less effective. ;)

Everyone but JadeHellbringer rejoices!

Seriously I'm surprised the Ravens didn't make a Devil variant with an Improved Heavy Large Laser. It's got the speed to get in there and get out again, and the Heavy Laser will ruin someone's day.

It's actually from the Cranston Snord's Irregulars scenario pack.  I don't think Blaine intended it as a joke back in 1988, but more as a way to try to add balance to the scenario.  The hilarious thing is that they're escorting a Vedette, which has a full ammo load for its AC/5.
