Lots of tanks this time.  Well, it is Tanksgiving.  Really digging the new Nightsky and Penetrator varients, feeling more iffy on the Gunslinger.

My compliments to whomever did the Kamisori entry.  Allo, Allo is one of my favorite shows.

I did not see the Falcon Hovertank coming. On the other hand, it seems my personal theory about it was right.

Also my pet headcanon Galleon variant is now a real thing

Another fine addition to the series! I especially like the Kamisori and Falcon (and it's offshoots).

And now it finally has art of its one and is no longer forced to sleep on the Scimitar's proverbial couch.

not sure how i like the new record sheet format. I like that the armor type and engine can be more prominently displayed. However, I don't think Ferro-fiber needs to be displayed that prominently, or a STD or XL engine.

Maybe make it so those only show up with advanced armors and XXL engines? And composite structure, that definitely would need a banner.

Aside from that, nice recguide, will probably use multiple designs. Would like less mixed tech, but that's a personal hangup.

I'm fine with it as long as it's consistent, personally.

And now, after over a century, the Taurians finally got their patton.

Good news is the lab boys say the symptoms of asbestos poisoning show an immediate latency of 44.6 years. So if you're thirty or over you're laughing. Worst case scenario you miss out on a few rounds of canasta, plus you've forwarded the cause of science by three centuries. I punch those numbers into my calculator, it makes a happy face.

The intent there is to reduce the amount of cross-product referencing that is needed for certain optional rules to be in play. To use the engine explosion rules, as an example, players would have to not only bring their copy of TacOps:AR to the game, but also a copy of either the TechManual for the engine size formula a relevant TRO---both very unintuitive books to bring to a game.

Another example, for armor: acid warheads rely on knowing which specific type of armor is used by a unit. Certain unit types (eg: vehicles) had no critical table, so their armor was completely unlisted on the record sheet. If said vehicle was a non-featured variant, even a TRO would be of no help here and the type of armor used would ultimately be completely unknown.

I'll give you the armor - I'd forgotten the existence of AX. Still not sold on including the engine by default, but I admit I've had the engine formula for mechs memorized since compendium.

After realizing that the Penetrator has Reflective armor and the Gunslinger has Ballistic Reinforced, I'm suddenly feeling a lot more confident about the latter than the former.  Reflective armor on a mech that only moves 4/6/4 and is built around close-quarters fighting is just begging for someone to kick you.

I just now noticed that the Hawk/LTV 4's record sheet has slightly different art to reflect its different configuration from the Falcon, which seems to be a unique touch among the entire record sheet series.

Neato!

Yup, it's got a different turret from the Buzzard and Falcon.

In the art you can see the Hawks turret in the repair bay behind the Falcon. I really liked that, gettig art for two variants in a single entry.

Kinda like how '57r gave us the Lola I and Lola II art on the same page?

I'm guessing the rivalry mentioned in the Galleon ended when the Suidics were moved to Colorado in Federated Suns space and got an AVL-1O for their mascot? I think the Clan Galleon was a better use of Chemical Lasers than the Condor.

As for the Penetrator, think of all of those hardened DCMS 'mechs that are now going to rush into reLaser range to smack down the PTR....and then they're hit with two Large reLasers and a score of medium lasers that force a piloting skill roll....

The Galleon C is, I think, pretty much the perfect use of chemical lasers. The Condor C, well, it's fluffed as lackluster but I like it for its weird use of PACs

I mean, all condors that use them. I would've preferred the Ultra to have wiggled a pair of Large chems and a smaller autocannon than what it went with. Ah well. Still a cheap tank. Now that the Hawk/LTV-4 has been brought back into attention....it's going to be unique to see how the Condor competes against it. All in all it's almost equal on damage, but you have the concentrated damage of the PPC vs. more damage, but spread out. Guess one's for vehicles and the other is for hunting 'mechs.

yeah, it's a chunky boy. I feel it underlines the cheap nature of the tank. It's not the streamlined, sleek top-shelf product, it's designed to by assembled by understaffed weekend warrior militias in the middle of nowhere. So having some room to work with and not expecting everything to fit exactly into its intended location makes it a bit taller and wider.

New Urbie variants for IWM are up on Scroggins' patreon. Includes a running repose, a version with an AC/20 for the UM-R60L, and a kneeling sculpt with an MRM-30 for the UM-R68.

Finally, it also reveals some details about our new mystery RecGuide variant: the UM-R27, with three SRM-6s and AES. Pretty wacky!

On a side note, I hope all the bits for these variants end up on IWM's Scrapyard, they look very handy for kitbashing.
