Well that's interesting... Curious to see what the Foxes get up to in the other parts of the Sphere - they've already got their hand in the Free Worlds League pie.

The recguides implied the foxes helped refit a bunch of novacat factories in DC space, so they have a presence

they've observed a sector of the economy with massive demand, massive profit potential, massive political leverage, and would have almost no competition. this is the most on-brand thing they could do.

Anyone got pictures of the GDL Merc box mechs? I noticed a distinct lack of them when looking for some.

IIRC they're the ones who went with the Wolves to Terra, but it's hard to remember which Khanate is where

Just got my Alpha Strike Box Set today....and it is glorious

Everything that you get with it, and at it's price....CGL you guys really knocked it out of the park.

I really love the Battlefield Support cards. Here's hoping that as these sets get more out into LFGSs, more people get interested in playing AS and BT.

Imply is putting it pretty lightly. The Shadow Cat III says that the Foxes help the Combine produce and maintain ALL their Clantech in exchange for money and access to the production lines, and the Nova Cat says that they've taken control of the Irece Alpha facility entirely.

I got my Alpha Strike Box set today. So very neat and happy.
So much stuff in that box set.

Mine arrived today too. The mechs seem to have better detail than the initial KS run, but I'm pretty sure I've got "new toy syndrome".

The thought and care that have gone into this Alpha Strike box is just phenomenal. I daresay it is near perfect in terms of quality and value. A 10/10 for attention to detail and cohesiveness. Y'all nailed it CGL.

I just got my Alpha Strike box set today and I'm loving the new sculpts, both of the full new mechs / varients and the re-poses. I only had to clean off a very small number of mold lines. Now if the weather will only cooperate so I can prime them before winter sets in full force...

I have to echo the chorus of people very pleased with the AS box set. Some pleasant surprises for me: the 3151-era primer, the fact that the buildings have tabs and slots for glue-free assembly, the practical advice on terrain creation and scale on pp. 8-11, the additional objective/scenario ideas on p. 7 (which are variations/simplifications of ASCE scenarios, but not totally identical), and the AOE and movement type markers (although I use colored dice for ground/jumping/sprinting, having a marker with no number on it for standstill/immobile is nice to have).

Not sure if there is going to be errata for these quickstart rules, but I note that immediately after stating that 4' x 6' is the standard table size on p. 7, the rules on p. 8 depict a battlefield that is 5' on the short edge.

One question: the sidebar on p. 10 states that papercraft buildings are available on the downloads page of this site. Does that just refer to the buildings in the back of the old quickstart rules that are currently available for download, or is there a plan to post the templates from the new box set so we can print additional copies?

I use small d10s for this purpose, since they have the zero. Green for walk, red for run, blue for jump.
