Case AMBER: Ships at Panpour
« on: 21 January 2013, 07:41:58 »
The narrative text for the battle in the Panpour as a part of Case AMBER in Historical: Reunification War states that:

"There, he led just half of his combined fleet against Davion's Task Force 2.7, a twelve-WarShip squadron composed mostly of troop transports and light escords. Marshal Santos' overwhelming force destroyed nine Davion WarShips and eighteen DropShips, and captured three WarShips, three JumpShips and eight DropShips..." (page 68)

The number of DropShips involved doesn't match the forces listed under Task Force 2.7 (Panpour) on page 69. Page 69 lists 9 Leopard-CVs, 3 Manatees and 5 Jumbos - a total of just 17 DropShips, not 26.

Were there additional DropShips in the system that weren't a part of the task force but were captured or destroyed in the battle, or is one set of numbers wrong, or is there something else completely at work?

It's more interesting than optimal, and therefore better. O0 - Weirdo

Probably just a continuity goof in fact check.

Sorry.
