Smoke's luck failed him almost completely with that darn Falcon.  It got away despite Sara Renzi and Bianchi beating the crap out of it with the rest of the lance contributing here and there (it was FUBAR but functional on the way out... it literally only had 48 points of armor left, including the 9 on the head).  I think Captain Harris expended all his luck in finishing that darn Phoenix Hawk.  If I hadn't given it the same treatment I gave Renzi's P-Hawk for head armor, Sara could have ended it right there.

The Renzis are going to have a reputation for head hits from here on out (and I'll say that the Partyback didn't hit much but DID hit effectively!
The Firefly was killed by head hits from Captain Renzi, the Packrat and the Partyback, though everybody else did plenty of damage too).  Mazrea will certainly NOT be trying the Renegades ever again, and not just because the Wolf Skinners are closer.  This is exactly how legends are born!

Detailed salvage:
Jeeps: Total of 61 points of armor salvaged from 3 destroyed jeeps.  They were blown up good (three jeeps have 120 armor total).

Phoenix Hawk: 26 points of armor all told, a whole Right Arm (including Large Laser, Medium Laser, and MG) with 2 points of IS left but missing a Hand Actuator, a whole Right Leg (armor already accounted for), a whole Left Arm with 4 IS left (and NO armor but both weapons), a Left Torso with 2 JJs and 5 IS left, and some Life Support and Sensor bits with 3 Head IS.  That's all that survived.

Firefly: 16 points of armor all told (4 from the back and 12 from one leg), a Medium Laser, LRM-5 and some ammo from the Right Torso, a mostly intact Left Leg (only 2 points of armor missing, but accounted for already), and stripped Right Leg minus a Foot Actuator and 2 IS.  Both legs have 2 Jump Jets each.

The Falcon escaped missing most of its armor, and the Hornet negotiated survival minus a leg and almost half its armor (it still had a functional LRM-5 that could have killed more potential rescues).

The Renzis definitely want all the Phoenix Hawk salvage.  They'd like some of the Firefly leg salvage (since they have a 30-ton 'mech that could use the actuators and jump jets) but are willing to let the rest (including that expensive LRM ammo) and all of the Jeep salvage go without argument.  Rabigh will buy/trade for anything the two of you don't want.

For reference, Captain Renzi took 3 points of damage to one leg, and Sara drew 21 points of fire that actually landed (and TONS more that didn't).  It could be more than reasonably argued the Phoenix Hawk salvage covers all their "losses" and then some.

I forgot to emphasize that you're also in possession of a valuable hostage (the enemy MechWarrior).  You already know what the Renzis want.  Maybe give some thought to what you might want (aside from the Sabre engine...). :)

That read like there were some really interesting rolls for that battle. Sounds like Tse mostly missed. LOL!

Mostly, but not entirely!  Even with all the Snipers in the crew, Long Range still isn't easy... ;)

Honestly, the most amazing rolls were the easy shots the pirates missed.   ::)

So who of us are left?

It's not tech so much.  It's more getting back to the cognitive basics of warfare that advanced tech has blinded us to for a while now...  Defeat is a cognitive outcome, at least since the days when you could get away with literally killing every single one of your enemies.  That hasn't been the case for a long time now, and the last truly dedicated attempt failed utterly.

I should be more involved now and pushing elements of the RP. Though I am still finding the character in my head but that will come.
