Same is true for the Cowboys and the Dolphins just off the top of my head.  Neither have beaten a +.500 team that I'm aware of.  There's also just the factor of just any given Sunday.  A bad team has a really good game and a good team has a really bad game.  If these two teams happen to be playing each other weird things happen.

Miami beat Denver, which has BECOME an over-.500 team, but at the time were lunch meat.

You can question mark the Chiefs if you want but I'm full confident that barring catastrophic injury there will be a 6th annual Arrowhead Invitational come this January.

they have a good path to the #1 seed as their remaining schedule is mostly a parade of lame. but they have too many close games for me to not think they're going to ****** around and find out somewhere playoffs.

Alex Smith was 2-0 against Tom Brady yet for some reason no one ever said those Patriots better watch for the very good reason that other than seeding the regular season means jack squat.  Mohomes and Reid also adhere to this principle.  Plenty of people have doubted the Chiefs for the last five years yet they have 2 SB rings regardless.  I won't be shocked at all when they get their third come this February.

I will believe the Chiefs do not host the AFCCG the moment two teams that aren't the Chiefs walk on the field to start that game and not a moment sooner.

I don't have the ability to watch MNF so I don't care.  If I did though I'd be pretty hot.

Depends on how good the necromancer they hired to bring his career back from the dead is.

But at least Thursday night's game wasn't completely horrible last night.

MODERATOR NOTICE

Commentary on the frequency of mass shootings in the United States of America is not appropriate for this forum, nor is it germane to this thread.  Similarly, commentary on whether or not COVID can kill celebrities is not appropriate.

I've removed the post to prevent any unnecessary Rule 4 problems, please continue with your previously scheduled commentary on Joe Flacco's skills.

At this point in the season I equally expect Flacco go bonkers and have the best season of his career and to completely stink up the joint or maybe both.  It's been that kind of season.

please continue with your previously scheduled commentary on Joe Flacco's skills.

His QB skills were good enough for a hot streak but man his contract negotiation skills are like a poor man's Kirk Cousins.

so has the NFL every swapped a mon night game before?
And I know if I had tickets and planned around a monday event, which might have had hotel room, etc..  I would not be impressed.

That being said they made the right call, because the Pats look horrible.  Matt Jones..

Anecdotally, I was in on a conversation on FB about the "worst QB to win a Superbowl".  Flacco and Trent Dilfer were commonly thrown out there.

But a lot of us older guys had to make sure to let people know how bad Jeff Hostetler actually was back in the day.

So there's that.

i have to imagine they gave up on winning another game weeks ago. they're starting a quarterback named bailey zappe. bill probably likes drake maye out of north carolina.

but GM bill isn't coach bill. if he wiffs on this next qb, it's retirement time.

Lions piled on early then held on to come away with the W, despite the Saints putting up a better fight than was reasonably expected.

big game for miami as they are now on the inside track for the first seed. based on their season, i'd say they need homefield throughout more than most other teams. jacksonville is probably the same in that respect but i don't think many take them seriously as a contender.
