Any news on when that will go live Sartis?

Just finished the 7th inning stretch.

Look, dude, when you are a real mechwarrior you don't need to get all dressed up in cooling suits and cool helmets to work on your mech. You just strip down to your 1980s panties and crop top vest and start wrenchin' it.

Hello, in Field Manual: Updates, the dropship RAT for Clan Blood Spirit shows that they have access to the Fortress Class dropship in 3067, however, the Clans only have the Fortress on MUL in the early Succession Wars era.

The Trebuchet K7R has the MTAS special without a number being associated with the special.

Correction: Change the ability to MTAS1 as the K7R only has a single MTAS on the mech.

What new units have been added to the current Master Unit List (MUL) compared to the previous version?

Hello,

I think I've found an error with Faction Availability for the 2 "Royal-Griffin" models.

http://masterunitlist.info/Unit/Details/6767/griffin-grf-2n2

http://masterunitlist.info/Unit/Details/1299/griffin-grf-2n

The Griffin-2N2 is the earlier model, created via Retcon when they realized that the Griffin-2N intro date of 2703 was earlier than the ERPPC intro date of 2751.

The Griffin-2N with ERPPC shows a bunch of houses w/ access in the SLDF era that goes through 2780.

The Griffin-2N2 w/ Standard PPC stays Royal Exclusive & then in the 1st SW goes to Clans & SLDF in Exile.

I'm thinking these are the opposite of what they should be.

The 2N2 (PPC) model had been out since 2703 & had time to get distributed from Royal to SLDF Regs to House units by 2780.

The 2N (ERPPC) model was only 29 years old when the SL Era ends & isn't enough time to make it out to the houses before the fall.

I'm thinking someone reversed the access levels for these 2 units & they should be flipped so that the older, lower tech unit, has more access, & the newer higher tech unit is the one that is Royal exclusive & then goes to the clans.

PS.

You have the exact same issue with the Thunderbolt-Royal(s) as well.

http://masterunitlist.info/Unit/Details/6766/thunderbolt-tdr-5sb2

http://masterunitlist.info/Unit/Details/3239/thunderbolt-tdr-5sb

The Higher Tech (ERPPC - SB) has lots of access for everyone.

The Older/Lower Tech (PPC - SB2) has very restricted access to Royals & Rimworlds.

These seem to need to be reversed.

Howdy!

I was reviewing my copy of Operational Turning Points: Fronc Reaches to run a campaign with some friends and after looking at the RAT on page 8 noticed that a lot of the 'mechs included in both the Fronc and Pirate tables for 3088 are not present on their MULs in that, or later, time periods.

The Fronc Reaches are missing the following:
Lights:
Wolfhound WLF-1
Anubis ABS-3MC (Notably a Unique machine only available in the Early republic but simultaneously on the Capellan and Magistracy Avails?)
Raven RVN-4LC
Medium:
Assassin ASN-99
Centurion CN9-AH
Phoenix Hawk PXH-5L
Vindicator VND-4L
Wraith TR-2
Heavy:
Koschei KSC-5MC
Marauder MAD-6L
Thunderbolt TDR-9M
Archer ARC-8M
Marauder MAD-3D
Gallowglas GAL-2GLS
Warhammer WHM-8D
Rifleman RFL-5M
Marauder MAD-5L
Assault:
Stalker STK-5M (Pops up in their Avail in Late Republic through IlClan but is attributed here as also being available in the Early Republic)
Longbow LGB-7V
Yu Huang Y-H10G
Longbow LGB-12C
Victor VTR-10L
Aerospace Assets:
Transgressor TR-16
Troika CMT-3T

All of these are still in use by IlClan with one or more of the Trinity powers from which the Fronc Reaches originally comes from, and does active trade with, so I see no reason for them to not also hold them into the IlClan era if added to their MUL.

The Pirates are missing the following:
Lights:
Locust LCT-5M (Had it on Avail. during the Jihad and then lost it in Early Republic Era)
Spider SDR-5K
Mediums:
Phoenix Hawk PXH-1D (Had it during the Jihad and then lose it in Early Republic)
Cronus CNS-5M (They have it in every era since its inception except the Early republic on MUL)
Heavys:
Archer ARC-8M (They had it in their Avail during the jihad and then never again)
Orion ON1-M (Is available to them in the Jihad then they lose it in the Republic eras and get it back in the Dark age)
Assaults:
Not missing any
Aerospace:
Stuka STU-K15

Not sure how updating MUL or picking which 'mechs get added to the lists works but notably 3 out of 4 of the Fronc 'mechs in the '7' spot on the table are absent from their MUL; which I assume is indicative of most common chassis? Those being the Longbow LGB-7V, the Gallowglas GAL-2GLS and the Anubis ABS-3MC.

Edit: Also of note, the Bandersnatch BNDR-01A (Horus) should be under the Fronc Avail during the Jihad and Early Republic Era as he is a noted Marshal during those time periods.

Hi, thank you for the feedback. The general MUL policy on RATs, especially those from pdf only products, are not automatically included for availability. There was a general RAT review started in the past few years that includes OTP: Fronc. Once we are able to complete that process it seems likely that at least some of these units will be folded in.

A few general notes that are worth repeating for anyone who is unfamiliar with general MUL policies

- a unit not appearing on a list does not mean the faction possesses none, it simply indicates sufficient use for inclusion. I have been informed more than once that this is inconvenient for tournament force building (and some local groups as well. The MUL is not a tournament tool - it is a tool used by tournaments

- As noted on the Unique "faction" page, the definition includes units that were produced in very small batches up to a dozen. These are almost always custom character rides or experimental prototypes

- A logical extrapolation or assumption doesn't necessarily mean it is happening.

- A major goal we are working on is making sure periphery nations don't end up with more mech variants than they have mechs in their military

Fair enough! Thank you for the response!

I know with the Reaches they've got four each of 'Mech, Armor, Infantry and Aero regiments between the Marshals and all 3 Curiassier groups in IlClan so they've certainly got some space to field before they run over reasonably available numbers. I think they have 98 'mechs, in IlClan, assigned to them on top of the standard Periphery General set so those 22 would be an addition over that but not terribly much I don't think. I often use the MUL for building my Fronc or Rasalhague Dominion lists but I usually also include things that feel about on theme for the particular faction if I want to anyhow.

What's the reasonable break point you guys use for including something in the MUL for a faction/the general sets?

Introduction dates of Mongrel (Grendel) A, B, C, D, and possibly also Prime configurations may be incorrect. MUL lists them as 3053 (3052 for Prime), however according to Battle of Tukayyid book all of these configurations were present on Tukayyid in May 3052. Moreover according to TRO 3058U during Clan invasion era Grendel was produced only on Arcadia - one of the Pentagon Worlds over 1000 light years away from Tukayyid, which, considering the number of jumps required to cross distance between the factory and the battlefield, makes me think that first Mongrels were more likely produced in late 3051 at the latest, rather than early 3052. Therefore if both Battle of Tukayyid book and TRO 3058U are correct, at least one of the above configurations should probably be listed as introduced in 3051 (or even a bit earlier), and all of them definitely no later than in 3052.

3052 is correct. it's when they debuted, not when they were built. this was reviewed again when rec guide 7 was added

Right. So Prime config is correct, but A through D need to be changed from 3053 to 3052?
